This is the second Heartland location I visit. This first was the classic uber-busy one located right under the Empire State Building. This location has a bit more of a pub feeling (a BIG pub) than the Empire State Building location which really feels like a huge restaurant. Same number of boring beers on tap from what I can remember. I thought the food menu would be the same but it wasn’t the case. This location is basic pub burgers and the likes while the Empire state building had more meaty items. If you need a burger and a beer really bad… otherwise not worth it.

Visited on a Wednesday evening in August 2012. It was the last order for the evening when I arrived, despite that I managed to order a flight with 8 beers. (13.95 USD) The beers were ok but nothing sensational. The service was ok but a bit stressful despite one hour before the official closing time. An average brewpub with an ok ambiance and location. But not a place that I need to visit again.

Average brewpub with samplers.12.95$ for the 6 regular taps with option of +2$ upgrade for a seasonal. Friendly but busy staff that let me upgrade both seasonals eventhough it is not on the menu. Didnt try the food.

All of the Heartland Brewery locations are of pretty similar quality, which is to be expected. Same beer and the same general quality of food. Decent restaurant, average brew pub.

Went here for dinner before a show. Made reservations ahead of time so we did not have to wait. Large open room with breweriania on the walls. Service was slow and kept taken food to wrong tables. Beer selection was a wide range of styles. I had a flight od their stuff always on. Beer was ok, the stout and red lager were the best. The light lager was un drinkable and eberything else was bland. Food was mostly steaks and burgers. My and my wife both got steaks. Mine was over cooked and just generally disappointing. As far as cost, it was about average for Nyc, but with the other dings on food and quality, it is over expensive. Will not return.

My alma matter Bentley Univ has annual beer pairing dinner at this location. Foods decent and the beer is ok. but you get to eat and drink as much as you want on this night so thats pretty fun. It kinda touristy place right outside times square.

Stopped by on my way through the city. Not much of an atmosphere but that doesnt bother me. Friendly staff. Got talking to the bar guy and he was nice enough to give me a token glass for their imperial stout as I was from another country. That was pretty cool. The beers were pleasant as well. I enjoyed my stop and enjoyed being pissed in a foreign city afterwards

L-shaped bar up front to the left and seating to eat back to the right. Saturday night and there was not a seat at the bar. My wife needed to sit down waited about 10 minutes and couldn’t get a seat, so we left. Ambiance was slightly above average.

Nice upscale brewpub restaurant. A bit pricey, but not too bad for NYC. Great food. Beer is ok. Nice atmosphere. Good service.

COnveneinet location. Nothing special on tap in the seasonal department, one does not go out of their way for th beer here. Did have something brewed with thyme as a seasonal that had a minimum of my interest, outside of their regular so-so beers all served a bit overcarbonated.

Visited for lunch on a Tuesday. The bar is upfront, restaurant seating behind in the back. I ate at the bar, and the service was efficient and quick. In general, the food and beer menu were straight forward everyday brewpub - akin to a Rock Bottom. The quality was fine, I had the IPA and a reuben. Neither were memorable, but did the trick. Worth hitting, may not be worth going out of the way if you have limited time.

64 = ★★ (Just ok)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.
