I love this place. It has the best beer selection in San Diego County. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful. Some the beers that have been recommended to me by the staff have been excellent. So they know there stuff. The beer selection is a lot of local micro’s and a good deal of Belgain and European beers as well. Also, the selection changes quite a bit as well with new beers being added all the time. If your looking for something special, the staff can probably get it for you. Also, from time to time you’ll come across some gems that you wouldn’t expect to see. I recently got a Stone Russian Imperial from 2001 for the regular price it would normally sell for and I picked up a bottle of Alesmith Horny Devil from 2002 a while back as well. It’s well worth the drive to get out there.

Small but well run store. Staff was knowledgable. One of the few places that carries Pizza Port bottles.

Nice selection of beers. Perhaps not as good a selection as Hi Times. But I can always find 3 or 4 beers I haven’t seen before and Hi Times did NOT have. Good selection of Belgian and English beers. Good selection of singles for Cal and Pac NW micros.

I was really excited about this place before I got there. They have lots of singles and belgians, but nothing that really blew me away. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by Town and Country/Premier, but I only found 1 beer here that really interested me (Doggie Claws). They have a few West Coast beers that arent distriubted out east, but a lot of the beers I can get up the road in Mass.

Pretty easy to get to, right off of the 15 and the 78. I was turned onto this place by Greg at Stone (only a few minutes from there). They have a great collection of micros and Belgian ales. Not as much as Hi Times, but prices are better. Staff is very knowledgeable.

Great selection of local and imported beers line the back wall. Nice selection of glassware. You can pick up some Thomas Hardys if you hit it right. Excellent service.

Probably my favorite place to buy beer. Very affordable, good service, and hidden goodies in the back if you just ask.

Excellent selection, mostly all in the fridges, which is a good thing for this part of America. California seems to be very regional in its micro distribution though so don’t expect to find all the breweries you’d want to discover. A very good bottle shop at the state level I’m sure.

Seriously, this place absolutely rocks. The guys and girls who work here know their stuff and more than willing to hep you out when you need it. They’ll even carry your hoards of beer out to the car for you and give you discounts for being a loyal customer. They carry numerous belgains that are well cooled and kept. And thank GOD they know how to categorize their beer. Great GREAT beer store.
