Rushed visit on Saturday 28th Jan 2017: baby granddaughter in the car being a pain. Strolled in and took a look around: square shaped place with tables and chairs in the middle, very canteen like really. Deli sandwich counter to the left, bar straight in front and bottle fridges along the whole right hand wall. Place was busy and íhummingí rather than íloudí. Draft list looked lovely and i would have happily stayed until closing time, but 20 month old granddaughter comes first apparently according to the wife. I amble along the beer fridge wall two or three times, looking, caressing and checking various brews while noting the prices and wincing. Some of the costings are outrageous to me and I end up with a can of Canadian Stout as my only purchase. Would loved to have sat and tried the tap list, but maybe next time.
Visited Monday, 6/27/2016 for lunch. Itís a deli, with about 25 or so beers on tap. Great draft selection. Food was decent, but not outstanding. Itís also a bottle shop - again the selection was impressive. Had my first Russian River here - Pliny the Elder on draft. Overall, the food, draft selection, and bottle selection make this a worthy stop.
Great neighborhood beer venue, with a very respectable wall of bottled beers to poke through. What was on tap was top shelf as well, with prices that will put a dent in your wallet. I went out of my way on a business trip to Orange County to find this place and hope to return in the future.
Stopped in here yesterday, my first time visiting this place after hearing about it for years. Atmosphere was good. People eating at most of the tables, including some of the ones right in front of the beers I was trying to look at. Service was great. I was asked if I needed help twice and the woman who checked me out could not have been nicer. Quality was great. Food looked top notch, even though I didnít partake this time, and the beers all were high quality offerings. Selection was great. They have a ton of beer packed into a small place. I was able to find two Almanacís I had been searching for so that was a welcome surprise. No food this time but it looked awesome from what I saw. Prices were more than reasonable on most of the bottles I was interested in. Overall a really nice bottle shop that I would definitely return to in the future.
Tucked in the back in a double strip mall, interior is an old school local deli that reeks of deli pickle. Big local crowd here eating at tables and at the bar. You have to sort of invade peopleís privacy to peruse the bottle selection. Separated mostly by country with a lot of Belgian, English, and German stuff. Nothing too hard to find. CA local selection was solid, but again, nothing of note. Organization was scattered. Sort of a "meh" bottle shop that was probably the bomb back in the day but now is average. Didnít eat here. Didnít see any staff for beer. They had a big tap list but I didnít stay for a beer.
I went here for my 21st birthday. First off they congratulated me on turning the golden age and also made me feel welcome. Then everyone in the restaurant sang me a happy birthday and the owner met me and gave me a free brownie.
First beers I HAD? Noble Ale Works El Gringo with Habanero peppers and Port Older Viscosity on tap. This place has a lot of beers I donít see in other stores and their staff is pretty cool.
This place is really growing on me.
This is definitely one of the most unique beer stores I have ever set foot in. Upon first entry, place is a small bustling restaurant with a handful of mostly filled tables. There is a small bar with a couple open seats. Draft beer selection was fantastic, granted, most of them were for the hopheads like myself. Food was even better. Perfect place to stop for lunch, and maybe some casual beer shopping. Selection was very haphazard, but some nice finds on the shelf. It was obvious the owners truly appreciated their beer and made an effort to order nothing but the best. There may have been a few poor choices amongst the shelves, but hey, who doesnít have some crappy beer on their shelves?! Workers were all extraordinary friendly, and made for a very welcomed environment. Disappointed I wonít be able to stop by here more often!

Iíve been here a number of times over the last five years. Sandwiches are great, the Bernie especially. The Bernie is wildly overpriced but excellent. The beers on tap are always top notch and some of the best in OC. Again, wildly overpriced. The beers in the cooler are slightly overpriced but not nearly as bad when you consider you often canít find the beers anywhere else in the area. I still love coming back but canít make it a habit based on the prices.
