Awesome pizza. Great tap list. Always crowded as hell and not easy to get a place to sit down. Prices are very reasonable.

Nice little place in Highlands area. Pretty decent beer selection that is rotated out pretty regularly. Place is small, so expect long waits and crowded bar on weekends. Service is not the best, bu the food is decent!

Despite having just over 20 taps, they always have an excellent rotating selection, as well as a nice bottle list. The pizza is great and the sandwiches are fantastic. Quality service and decent value with a nice ambiance. A must stop Denver beer destination, especially if you’re hungry. Also, you can get a 3 oz pour of anything on tap.

Visited for a late dinner on a Wednesday. Two separate rooms, one a dining room, the other a large bar with a handful of bar tables. Draft list was really solid, many options to choose from with selections from Prairie, Port, etc. The pizza I had was tasty, service was attentive and friendly. Good spot to hit if you are on that side of town.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

quite crowded as it was gabf week and they had a special event going on. not a huge place anyway. pretty solid tap list. lots of cigar city beers and a couple offerings from jackie o’s during our visit. they sell taster pours, which is quite nice. good and friendly service. looked like they had some good pizza, but we didn’t eat anything.

Visited October 12, 2013.

I had heard good things about this place (mostly from BroDNeilsen) so I figured it was worth a shot. Apparently he’s been telling everyone else about it too since the place was packed when I got there. I stopped in after the Saturday members-only session of GABF so that may have been part of it but who knows. What I do know is that I forgot my jacket at home before leaving sunny southern California and was on foot here, which was not ideal in mid October up in the mountains, especially as the sun was setting when I arrived.

Inside there is a long bar that makes a U shape and some tables scattered around it along the wall. The beer list wasn’t bad admittedly though I didn’t see a lot that I hadn’t had before. Part of that may be due to the fact that this was my eighth consecutive day bar/brewery hopping in Colorado but another part of that was most assuredly due to the fact that there were some California taps. The food looked good but I didn’t eat. The prices were a bit high, service was decent, and over all I’d consider stopping in again if it was during off-peak hours. Until such a time that I can visit and not have to climb over the people at the bar to even look at a menu I won’t be returning.

Stopped by over GABF week. Around 20 beers on tap. Great tap list, and nice place. We didn’t try the pizza, but it looked pretty tasty.

A super crowded (on a Saturday night) restaurant that has an awesome tap list of some real hard to find whales. The decor was nothing special. It was so busy and there was nowhere to sit or stand so we left after just the one beer. I would return though but hopefully on a quieter night.

Stopped in on the recommendation of Steve_0 - thanks! Pretty nice place with a bar and a decent number of tables. Pizza is pretty good, taplist was fantastic, but it was souped up for GABF I am sure. Service was pretty darn good, I think I had like four different folks waiting on me at some point. Definitely deserving of its rating. 3 oz tasters were $2, and prices in general seemed very reasonable.

Located on Tennyson street which seems like one of the coolest blocks in Denver, Hops and pie has a real neighborhood feel and unlike many of the places on this street they have their own parking lot. They had 20 taps of mostly local stuff mainly from the smaller breweries. Stuff that isn’t available everywhere. They also do a pretty solid pizza as well. Prices are typical for a big city. But again there’s as much fun to be had people watching as drinking good beer.
