Great beer place. They have vegan pizza! The pizza was awesome. Because of that and awesome craft beer this place rocks. They need more space however because food and craft beer places are popular. My wife and I went here for the Superbowl but it was packed and full of Patroit fans fyi.

Great beer bar with lots of taps for a small place .... lots of variety, all US micro and friendly quick staff. Was here for lunch during GABF and they churned out some food, beer quick ..... pizza was awesome .... prices were average too .... this place feels like home

Kickass place in a friendly neighbourhood close to a few other breweries. 20 taps, extremely well-curated, and everything is available in 3 oz pours for very reasonable prices. Food menu looked awesome, with many vegan options - sadly we had just eaten (next time!) - and specializing in pizzas. Very friendly service. One of the top spots in town. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the place and would likely rate higher were it not during a GABF event. Waited in line for them to open and grabbed almost last remaining seats. Got pizza before beer, which is very odd. Though it sounds like a gripe, really was just the reality of the moment. I actually enjoyed it a lot, the guest GABF beers were pretty great and I would love to go back.

Excellent place to visit. Enjoyed the pizza and the tap list was excellent. Many Colorado beers to choose from. Service was great and prices were not out of line. I believe Hops & Pie deserves it’s rating. Several other beer destinations near by.

Great beer...good food...great vibe...that about sums up Hops and Pie. I love the place and the draft list was well done (can’t complain about Blind Pig and pizza after all!). As for the pizza...not bad...probably considered quite good for Denver...but being from NYC and northern NJ...I have very specific opinions on what makes great pizza...so this was good...and very enjoyable at the end of a great beer sampling day...but come for the beer and the atmosphere foremost. This is definitely a great place to visit while in Denver.

I tried to visit here last year on a Tuesday. It wasn’t a special event week or anything and the place was so full around 6 pm that my body could not physically fit into the vestibule. I gave it another go during GABF week and showed up fifteen minutes before they opened. Needless to say, they were absolutely slammed but the staff handled it expertly. They always have elite tap lists, but the list today was arguably the beer geekiest I have seen in my drinking life. I didn’t have time or space to eat on this visit. Hops and Pie is firmly near the top of beer bars in Denver.

Dusty old neighborhood haunt. Not trying to impress you with their decor, which I kind of respect. Didn’t have all that many beers, but their food was excellent. The locals raved about this place; I thought it would be better.

Hops & Pie is located on the northwest side of downtown Denver on Tennyson Street. There is a small parking lot next to the building.

The interior of the brightly painted red brick building is cozy, with booth and table seating on the right and the bar on the left. White walls with more red to accent. Behind the bar is a board listing the beers on tap.

Hops & Pie has 20 beers on tap including a house brand called Hops And Pie PA brewed by Strange Brewing. Other breweries on draught during my visit included Prairie Artisan Ales, Russian River, Funkwerks and Epic. Many bottles as well including a Reserve List with breweries like Boulevard, Trinity and Lost Abbey.

Service on a busy weekday evening at the bar was good. I didn’t have to wait too long to snag a seat, and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable.

As for the "Pie" part, my pizza was amazing to the point that I ate the entire small and made myself ill.

Overall this is a great spot in Denver for both a great meal and solid beer list.
