Visited on a Sunday evening in October 2016. The atmosphere was relaxed despite that the place was quite crowded with all type of guests including tourists, older locals and families. The service was good, English was spoken. The food was tasty and the beer selection was decent. I had four new ones, Nikl-Bräu Weiße Eule Helles Hefeweißbier was the best of those. Located in a nice part of the old town. Extra points for the nice and clean toilets.
NIce bier place on top of the hill, close to Nuremberg castle and just before Altstadthof. Long terrace, wich can be very enjoyable, and really beautiful interior. Pretty nice beers. Didn´t try the food, but it looked quite nice.
Good local food and a nice selection of typical local beers. Service was absolutely awesome and also in English.
We were able to get food and service even though the place was really booked for that night.
If I ever visit Nuremberg again, this is the first place where I’m headed!
Jumping place, crowded, loud and lively. My waiter spoke good English and was very friendly though probably didn’t know much about beer. The beer selection was actually rather disappointing. I had 3 and 2 weren’t very good. Nothing like Alm.
Visited Tuesday 14.10.14 late afternoon. Lovely interior to this place.
Very obliging service in trying for 5 minutes to find for me a bottled beer on their drinks menu which unfortunately had sold out. I instead opted for a Huett’n Hausbrau Dunkel vom Fass, though I am not aware that they have their own brewery. Beer itself was below average, though no offtastes.
I had a varied experience due to painfully slow service - sitting outside can result in this at times. A few beers on tap and more in bottle, not a bad Franconian selection but I can’t say there was anything overly special available. The waitress was friendly when I did manage to get her attention. Food looked basic fare. I’d visit again as there’s not many options in town.
