After getting a good recommendation from the staff at La Cumbre on this place, I had high expectations. Nice atmosphere, and yet another brewery located in an industrial area. Everything was nice about this place, but I found the beer a let down. I had higher hopes, but it was just average at best.
First stop on my New Mexico trip. Cool place. Laid back, large bar with patio seating, good food (a couple veggie options), and most importantly solid beer. Tough to beat a five dollar flight. The Wet Mountain IPA was my favorite, but their Stout was also excellent. When in Albuquerque stop by and give em a try.
Visite éclair, en sortant de La Cumbre, le temps de goûter quelques unes de leur bières maisons. Ambiance dynamique mais peu spectaculaire, un peu comme les bières même si j’ai vu quelques beaux flash. À suivre.
Seeing the ratings of their beers and of the Santa Fe location I wasn’t expecting much but I have to say that I really enjoyed this place (minus the service that was slow as molasses). Sitting outside on the patio at the communal tables on a nice evening with some beers and snacks was fun. Also, while the beers aren’t amazing they have some fun stuff to pick from. Against my better judgment I tried the bloody beer (their wheat beer with tomato juice and some salt on the rim). They also had a pumpkin saison, a pumpkin porter, a "mimosa" beer (wheat beer with blood oranges), and some regular beers like a rye pale ale and a double IPA.
As mentioned before the service was very slow. All I wanted was a flight and some artichoke dip, but there was a group of about 20 at the next table that had to be served first. Inside you can see the brewery through the windows behind the bar. Also, the bathrooms had some pretty funny beer posters in them. Prices were alright. Over all I wouldn’t mind hanging out here with friends for an evening, and it’s walking distance from La Cumbre.
A really cool small place with a beautiful outdoor area for additional seating. Bartender was friendly and was knowledgeable about the Albuquerque beer scene and the beers on tap. They had twelve beers available on my visit. Samplers available. Had the beer pretzel that come along with some great chiptole mustard. Prices were competitive. Really enjoyed this stop.
