I passed through this brewery on a weekday... the service was amazing... Ambiance... well its a brewery... But the guys showed me around, even poured me a brew fresh off a tank... even when they weren’t setup to do this.

Industrial area with decent parking. Plenty of space to hang out, have a few beers and play some games. This this the first brewery I’ve seen that had a shower in the restroom.

Visited here in mid February ’16 while in the area for business. Tough to find, road construction and detours do not help - but not their fault - be patient and seek them out! Open aired tap room with no real frills. Has a bar area and several tables inside and out. Have about a dozen of their beers on tap, all of their regulars and a few tap room only specials. They offer flights for those so inclined. Prices are reasonable, beers were pretty solid - all tend to have a marijuana reference to them. Service was spot on, barkeep was always there when I needed him. Decent music paying in the background, not overbearing. Worth seeking out when in the Austin area.

This was a fantasic stop on the way into Austin from San Antonio. It’s in a sort of loading dock slash warehouse area. Ten bucks gets you a glass and three pints, although no one was really counting how many I had. When the oatmeal stout kicked, staff when into the back fridge and gave me a bottle of it, thanks! The brewer and his electirician were both in attendance, and many locals who were fun to talk to. Four beers on, all very tasty. Good vibe, big crowd. A must stop.

Finally found a Saturday to go here for the brew- it’s set in an industrial park, which isn’t too bad. Bring some chairs and food with you- the inside seating fills up quick, and you’re just better off with something to munch on with drinking brews. Purchase a pint glass- and they’ll use it to fill the samples- nice. Several dogs were roaming around- which may be a problem if you have a phobia, but they were all friendly. Expect a long line for getting a brew, people just kept coming and the lot was filled, quickly. It’s nice to see them doing well since Austin has a plethora of breweries and they haven’t been lost in the mix.

The first Saturday free beer sampling is quite an event. Bring your camping chairs and be prepared for a chill scene and some great beer. I love supporting these guys, and cannot believe the amount of beer they give away at these events. The seasonal Southside brew is my favorite.

Free beer every first Saturday... was great last year before they threw their last anniversary party. Before it was a kick back in the brewery, snack on chips, and talk with friends, no line at the bar. Now it’s taken over the business park parking lot, bands playing, people swarming everywhere, no room inside so you’re sweating your arse off, and the line... once you make it to the front you have to go straight to the back of the line so you’re at least 10 people from the bar once you drink your entire pint. Popularity aside, although I truly miss the days when nobody knew about their open houses, the owners are great... beers are decent for their operations, and with their IPA and Jasperilla, I believe there is hope for them to grow and experiment into something greater.

Have really enjoyed their evolution over the years. I was initially not the biggest fan - but that was years ago. They now have solid additions - the music during visit yesterday was stellar as was the Red Bud with plum. Deleted my comments from years ago as they no longer apply. Sure hope the construction can get completed on roads so it is easier to access.
