This is likely the stranges "beer" place I’ve ever been. Extremely helpful people there who got me a glass of the Kej Svetlo - but nevertheless a very strange place. Go and see yourself.

This place is basically a floating dock with several boats moored to it - one was ready to take a bunch of locals on a day cruise, the larger two decker was prepping for a wedding reception. I was able to sample their beer (they just had one) and watch the action all around me, a nice way to spend a late summer afternoon. The young guy who served the beers claimed to hold the title of The Fastest Beer Drinker in Serbia, awarded to him at the Lavovski Chug 2010. Where else but Belgrade?

Funny relaxed place. Aboat anchored on the rover shore. On an early November friday afternoon Iwas the only visitor. The yhad their own beer available - drank this reasonably well made lager while watching the crew chopping wood. Nofood was available at the time. Cool place!

Interesting local joint, in a very Belgrade style as a floating restaurant/pub/party-boat launch. Have their own beer, only the Svetlo (light) when we visited, though hopefully the dark beer (tamno) will return in winter. A bit out of the way but the atmosphere was very nice for this kind of splav (moored river barge), very relaxed and local. Food looked good and inexpensive, but we did not try. Will definitely come back, their beer was pretty good. Worth it for a completest or someone looking for an unusual local joint.

Humm, how to rate this... A "yachting club" that’s actually a docked boat on the Danube to which other, moving boats attach to. And one of the two outlets I know of the Kej beer, the closest to Belgrade proper. To get there you just take a bus from Zeleni Venac over Branko’s bridge, exit at the first station and go north through the park until you hit the river, should be around. It was easy for us since we were attending the BBF, which was in said park, and this was just a minute away. And, compared to the tens upon tens of thousands of people crowding there, a complete oasis of calm. Really cool to drink there, on the river, listening to mosquitoes get zapped, fish plop from time to time and Simple Minds playing live behind the fence. Now, don’t expect anything fancy, it looks a bit run down on the inside, smells a little of dog (and cool dogs they are), the toilets are rudimentary and all... The inside was crowded with policemen watching the Red Star and Partizan Europa Cup games heh. The patio’s a better choice anyway. Ok, huge digression. Good service, the guy was obviously proud of the beer they have. The beer itself isn’t that brilliant and it’s slightly expensive, but a lot better than the average in Serbia. Some macros are also available in bottles, including Skopsko which we haven’t seen anywhere else. All in all, why not. The other outlet, Restaurant Kej in Zemun might potentially be a more pleasing olfactory experience, but this is likely the cooler one.
