A stylish British look alike corner pub at Toldbods plads close to the harbour side. Rather large outdoor seating at both sides of the pub. L-shape servery and pub room in dark woodwork interiors. Among the the many taps there are some guest ales from breweries like Ugly Duck, Thornbridge, Siren, and Wild Beer. Some interesting craft beers bottles as well, I counted 40 different bottled beers. Polite service. (Visited with Frau Eva 17.08.2017).
My favourite pub in Aalborg, and probably in the whole of Denmark! Good service and nice selection of beers.
Re-rating after comparing it to other pubs in the area. John Bull Pub in Aalborg is ever so special!
An English style pub with their own beers that are mostly aliases to other beers. There’s also a nice selection of Danish, UK and Belgian beers at reasonable prices. The place is a bit worn down, and I’m not sure I’m very fond of all the football on the TV screen, I don’t think that belongs in a fine bar, but anyway, I always return when I’m in Aalborg. So should you.
A pub like many others. Main focus is obviously on English Beer, but they also have a little Danish Micro as well as some Belgian bottles. Good atmosphere and sport on the TV. They have a lovely outdoor serving area on the square with a view over the fjord. Tney have upped their selection over the past year or so.
