We turned up here on a busy Friday lunchtime. The waitress worked well with us to ensure that we got beers that were not available in our home state (a challenge on flights totaling 24 beers!), the food was great (the mustard was AWESOME), and it felt like the kind of place I could easily spend an afternoon whiling away the time.
Last visit had 13 beers on tap, including 2 JP beers not yet in the rate beer data base. JP beers are a unique product and you are at the source. Nice place, food very good, staff good, beer selection well- its time for funk! To try a lot of beers will need to be in the mood for JP beers, if you are get the sampler. The JP brewer, Ron Jeffries is the funk master and a brewer on an international level. Easily the most unique beer destination in SE Michigan if not the state.
Spent a Sunday afternoon trying their beers and having lunch. Impressive beers, especially for those of us fond of complex, yeasty and sour beers. Food was great, and extremely value priced. Will stop by anytime I’m in the area.
One of my favorite places to visit. Already one of my favorite Michigan breweries and the brewpub just adds to it. A really cool vibe that’s decorated with JP’s amazing artwork. Service is always nice and a pleasure. Tap selection is a bit short unfortunately. And all Jolly Pumpkin brews are always amazing. They also offer about the same amount North Peak brews too. Bottles and growlers to go is always a plus. Food is amazing. The truffle fries are a must for every trip. I’ve also had everything from spicy tomato soup, mussels, French toast for their brunch special, and a bunch more. All great. A lot of cool merchandise too. My favorite glassware I own is their balloon glass. Also bottle openers, very cool growlers, stainless steel growlers and 12oz bottles for on the go. Always a fun place to go and always worth a stop.
Spent an evening here for one of the most pleasant beer place visits I’ve had. What a lovely inviting establishment. I ate at the bar where the tender was super friendly and pro. The food was simple but impeccably prepared with very good ingredients. I would eat there weekly if I lived nearby. The odd thing is this brewery branded place doesn’t seem to make a big deal out of that. The beer list was limited. but that felt very right and in line with what I guess is the concept. Most beer places are very masculine and try to hit you over the head with one thing or the other. This seemed to place their very quality beer in balance with the rest what you can experience during a meal or evening. That’s respect to their beer.
I went here with MereLikesBeer as part of our mini beer tour of K-zoo, and Ann Arbor. We had already been to the brewery in Dexter, which was cute, but disappointing.
So we decided this had to be better. Which it was! The place is very nicely decorated, and the ambiance was great. Our waitress was quirky, and seemed to have a pretty good knowledge of the beers they offered, to include the rotating taps. We only had one app, the fried tofu, lol. which actually wasn’t terrible. As always, the beer was incredible. I would definitely go back to this place, and recommend it to any beer lover traveling on their way to western Michigan. Cheers!
