If you’re from Iceland, this is a fantastic place, and seemingly the only place to get plenty of non-Icelandic beer. Charming setting off a main square in Reykjavik. Lovely. If you’re not Icelandic, this bar is likely not for you, as you’re looking for loads of Icelandic beer and you’ll not find the full array here. Go to the state-run liquor monopoly, Vin Bud, which has several locations in Reykjavik (and a smaller location in every town).

the most decent place here in Iceland. Once a 150+ beer superbar but changed owners. A year ago I said to myself I would never visit this place again, after being served Leffe with a pint glass and Chimay Tripel which was stored in the side, with the sediment all over the place. But after a rant, by me and other few real beer lovers here, they serve it right, and belgians get proper glassware. This place is often packed, so if you are in Iceland, be there early. Infact, this is the early bar over here that serves beers like Duvel or Chimay, decent effort, but a pub living which owns it´s reputation to the people who started the place, and sadly, they are not there any more. Excellent and rather cheap menu by icelandic standards. 22+ old admittance after 2300 on weekends. To bad that beers like Affligem, Jenlain and Sam Adams brews are not there anymore
