Cette place m’a complètement pris par surprise. Mi boutique avec une large sélection, mi resto-bar avec un paquet de spéciaux et choix autant bouffe que fût. Le service était tellement intelligent et adéquat, un must dans l’est.
The store portion has a large, wide-ranging bottle selection, although some prices seem high.
The restaurant portion often has an excellent tap selection. Wine and beer can be taken from the store shelves into the restaurant for a small corkage fee. They host several events, many of which are tap takeovers. The menu is limited, but I have enjoyed everything I have tried. My wife (a non-drinker) likes it, which is a plus.
Recently started brewing in-house.
This little hole in the wall has a very good tap selection, perhaps 25 craft beers, Their bottle selection boggles the mind(bit they don’t carry Alpine, my gold standard).. Most taps are San Diego concoctions. The rest are truly worthy. The food is good solid pub grub, less greasy than you would expect and it displaces the space you would otherwise put your favorite brew. Have a glass or two and then a plate of fish tacos and you will go home and make love to your spouse. Do it. Don’’t come on Wednesdays - I’m there enjoying $3 craft pints and I want a seat.
K&B looks really cool with their floor to ceiling wood bookcases full of liquor and a small tasting room in the front. From a beer perspective I was underwhelmed as they not only didn’t have any special bottles but they were out of a lot of the stuff I would consider "staples" at any bottle shop. Additionally, the tasting room was busy and the people were pretty rude and pushy. Maybe I caught this place on an off night but with Clem’s and Bottlecraft nearby, I probably won’t go back.
A nice little bar/restaurant attached to an extensive bottle shop. Good but not exceptional bottle selection, though they do some cool events with great tap selections. Not a bad stop considering the other KnB places are about the worst beer places you can imagine.
Nice store right next to Windmill Farm. Really nice selection of brews. Some beers are available as singles. Prces aren’t too bad. Most certainly .They have over 30 taps too, so you can often try some great guest beers from breweries that we don’t always see in SD.
A great place to buy a bottle or have a beer on draft in San Diego / La Mesa. More times than not they have one of the best tap lists in San Diego, and that’s a bold statement. Staff is really cool and very helpful. Some of the bottle prices are a little steep, worth checking out for sure!
KnB has a pretty impressive selection of the top beers. I was surprised to find some stuff here (Coton) that had long since sold out at other shops. I think they pull bottles out of their cellar from time to time to surprise their customers.
Adam and Tony know their stuff and get their share of all the releases.
The food here is pretty good. They have over 30 taps too, so you can often try some great guest beers from breweries that we don’t always see in SD.
