Stopped in late February, 2016. Donít be confused when you look this place up online and itís listed as Tapworks - itís a part of KCís Sandbar and thatís what all their signage and building says. Go to KCís and go inside and you will find all the taps, etc.
Beach themed bar with a large outdoor area with, you guessed it, loads of sand. Thereís an outdoor stage and you can expect live music on weekends even if it isnít busy. Space for cornhole, etc. Inside is a regular old beachy-themed somewhat divey bar atmosphere.
My bartender was nice and prompt, even knew the beer I was ordering was new and fresh, but otherwise didnít seem to know much about the beers, etc.
Probably the best and largest craft beer selection youíre going to find on tap in FWB. I donít go there enough to know how quickly they go through it, but if itís busy in the spring and summer, Iím sure they plow through some of it at least.
I didnít try the food, but the beer was expensive. $7 for a pint of Sweetwater Goiní Coastal, which would be $3-$4 up here in Georgia. I guess thatís what you get in the Destin area, though.
Overall, I like this place and I will definitely be back whenever I have gigs and/or work on the FWB side. I usually hit up Props nearby to scope the new local beers and then head to KCís to get more ticks. I really hope they consider doing half pours or flights in the future.
