Amazing!! I was directed to this place from other beer venues and reps from Whole Foods. When I drove up I was skeptical but as I stepped inside I saw that these guys have a great selection of everything. The staff was diverse in their knowledge off everything I wanted to see. Thank you guys for great line up and recommendations!! I will be making the trip back even tho it is out of the way.
Great go to place for beers. Always have a great selection and almost always lower priced than the other beer stores in the area. Owner is really knowledgeable and is extremely easy to start up a beer conversation with. Overall all great place with great brews.
Love this place, come here regularly. Staff is friendly and helpful and really know their beers. Prices (as far as I know) are the best in the area. If you’re looking for something you can’t find anywhere else in the Plano area, this is the place to go.
I live in BFE and have no beer selection other than the mass produced crap. I drove 70+ miles and thought it was a small store but once inside the have a massive selection of beer and wine if that’s what you’re into. Stephen knows his shit and gave me a great deal and some free beer glasses. They have plenty of selection, from low end to very good for me. It’s way out of my way but I will definitely be back!
Exceptional beer store, though a bit small, that has a really nice, small but varied, selection of different beers that would not be found most other places, and they are all reasonably priced. Swalden28 (who runs the store) is really cool and will talk to you about beer and other things. They also have really cheaply priced, authentic glassware for sale.
I’m from out of state and was searching for beers I can’t get back home. I googled around and found Kegs and Barrels website and saw the inventory listing and thought I’d give it a shot.
When I pulled into the parking lot, I thought I was going to be in and out in no time. It looked small and has gives the impression that they have Bud, Miller, Coors and maybe Shiner.
When I walked in the door, I was floored. The selection is unreal! Belgian ales. Hawaiian microbrews, Texas, microbrews, the list goes on and on.
So, I loaded up for the trip home. Prices were on par with what I’ve paid elsewhere.
The manager told me up front that he’s tried all the beers in the store and keeps notes. Great guy! Total beer geek!
Awesome. I’ve watched the selection of places to buy good craft beer in Texas grow over the past 5 years. This is a great exqmple. Great selection of crafts and lots of imports as well.i will definitely be returning.
A store situated in a small strip mall. I had to come here while visiting family in Ft Worth and drove 45 min to get here from the airport. It was worth the drive! Their selection is large and the staff are well educated and friendly.
I wandered over to Kegs and Barrels for the first time today and I was very, very happy with what I found.
I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and was offered advice on the beers I wasn’t familiar with. The selection is excellent, especially if you’re looking for something off the beaten path. All the familiar suspects may be found here along with several other beers I had not seen at other places. There is a great selection of Belgian and Belgian-style beers here.
One of the things I actually like about K&B is that the majority of their beer is on shelves instead of the cooler. I liked being able to browse the beers without having to continually opening a cooler door.
This is a very fine beer store that I plan to visit often.
