About 15 minutes from the heart of Tampa. Very nice service, and a very decent selection second to Knightly Spirits in Florida from what I have heard and seen. Well kept though beers are getting into other aisles and missable. Perhaps 250 types of beer. Con: high price on most bottles. Many singles, and I don’t mind paying a bit more to get that rather than have a six pack on my hands. Saint-Somewhere was reasonable. Some great selections like De Mole, but youre talking $23 a bomber.
Visited on Februay 1, 2011. My mate sebletitje brought me there so I could stock up on barley wine to get home for my BW tasting later in February. Very nice selection of BW as well as other beers, glad to some some imports from the nordic countries available as well. The owner was super friendly and very knowledgable. Make sure you stop by if in the general Tampa area, it’ll be worth it for sure! Also for me being swede, I had no complaints about the prices of the beers ;)
Stopped here after lunch at Old Chicago. Easy to find location with large parking lot in the front. Service was freindly and very helpful. Selection is held on shelves and coolers in the back of the store. I found new beers and sake. Beer store snacks and large selection of package liqour. Great place for good brews and I will go back when I am in the area.
Visited here in March ’08 on the way down to Bradenton for a spring training game. Small store with an absolutely huge selection. The owner, Deepak, was very helpful and friendly - even brought up Ratebeer when pointing out some meads he suggested I try and even threw in an extra beer on the house when he saw how much I was purchasing. Lots of rare Belgians that I had never seen, first time I had seen Pannepot - picked up one of those. Surprise find of Harviestoun Ola Dubh that they had behind the counter - looking forward to that one. Prices were reasonable and clearly marked. Plenty of miscellaneous singles for us tickers. Highly recommended if in the area - easy access off of I-75.
The owner welcomed me as I walked in the door. He walked around with me making recommendations and narrowed his recommendations based on what I was interested in. Service was truely 10 out of 10. Ambiance was good, the place was clean and well organized. Selection was a little limited, partly due to distribution and partly due to space. Prices were higher than average, but he gave me a discount. My biggest recommendation would be a small increase in singles and especially expand cigar city singles. What makes this place stand out was the outstanding service and better than average selection. I will certainly go back.
This is one place that is well worth the visit.
The service is top notch. You can’t find any friendlier and kind owner than Deepak.
Everything about him shows that he loves what he is doing and it is reflected in the service you get at his store.
Deepak keeps getting the most hard to find beers coming to the store.
The store has an amazing collection of wines, meads and most importantly beers. From very hard to find to the most general craft beers, there is something for everyone and every wallet.
He has some very rare beers that he keeps hidden in the back and might be willing to sell to a few selected customers who know how to appreaciate a good beer.
Located in a fairly new looking strip mall a few doors down from Old Chicago eatery. The gentleman working there (the owner most likely) was very friendly and helpful. He commented by saying how surprised he was to see me walk into the store straight over to grab up bottles of Mikkeller and Olfabrikken. Very nice beer selection with lots and lots of singles to choose from both on the shelf and in the coolers. The pricing was interesting. Some beer was priced as low as I’ve seen it and others were some 20% more. I spent plenty during my only visit so far. If it wasn’t an hour or so away I’d most likely stop by monthly.
Well, Mr Deepak is indeed a very nice guy! Thought the prices were a bit steep. Bought a few I had not seen before which is a plus.

Nice place, and an awesome selection, especially considering how tiny it is. The best part, however, was the service. The gentleman behind the counter notice my interest in Cigar City beers and immediately made sure that I knew which ones he had and suggested a few more for me to try. . The prices seemd to be on the high side of average, but I got a bit of a beer geek discount. Nice place, easy to find, and definately worth a stop if you are driving on I-75 and can’t go all the way into Tampa.
