Classic czech hostinec. 4 taps actually. Klaster, and 2 local minor breweries. Enjoyed traditional czech dinner with an ocean of sauce and numerous dumplings.
And a beer I've never heard about before, a tasty dark. Many locals enjoyed that dark too.
Very good service from all of the staff.
No smoking inside anymore, velmi dobre.
Good place for a meal.
Traditional Czech boozer, dark wood, smokey, small bar with 4 taps. Rychtar, Klaster. Fairly crowded at out visit a tuesday afternoon and rather lively, mostly man 50+ smoking and drinking. No other tourists in sight. Not a place ill seek out again.
2015 review: the name has actually changed, but still there. 4 taps now, and several bottles, 2 of 3 beers we tried were off, though. Thenalso close at 21:30 on the dot. Full of young hipsters as well as older men.
2010 review: Real neighborhood kind of place. Don’t know if I could have been able to talk to anyone even if I had felt like trying! It has a nice feel to it, probably what most beer joints were like before the end of communism. Worth a stop. Nice Klaster beer. The Svijansky place almost next door is even better, though completely different in feel.
Opens at 9 AM. Went in at 10:30. I was the youngest guy in there by 20 years (I’m in my 40s) Most smoking, drinking beer and reading the paper at tables by themselves. I loved it! Very atmospheric, the morning light was shining through cloudy glass on pale green paint. Felt I had gone back in time to before the fall of Communism. A great place in a quiet area away from tourists. I would go back in a heartbeat!
2 regular changing guest beers only drawback is smoking but a reasonable air cleansing system minimises that.
NOTE ratebeer map location is wrong.

Classic people pub, near Sparta stadium in Letenske náměstí. They offer beers from K Brewery group, Klaste, Rychtar, Lobkowitcz, etc. and Primators in bottles. For eat only soussage, utopenci ,camembert....
good place to spend all night for little crowns. Beer for 20-25 Kč
Traditional, classic, very smokey drinking den with nicely priced draught beers from Klaster. Efficient service (we hardly needed to nod to have new beers in front of us). Crowded by locals arriving directly from work, not a tourist in sight (apart from us). Not the coziest of places, but if you’re bar crawling in the area, this would be the place right after Svijansky Rytir.
I actually LOVED that place. Cheap low class blue collar neighbourhood pub. The type of place where people stop talking when “foreigners” walk in the pub. Crowd is mostly 40+ year old factory workers type of people. For a Prague metropolitan area this pub is about as untouristy as they come and it is also the cheapest one I found with its ~$1 pints. If you wanna know where the Prague locals really go out to drink…
