A big upgrade from my last year’s trip to Orlando with lots of hard to find Belgians and an overall full selection of Belgian, French, Avery, and Rogue. Cantillon at $18 was a must get. Zanzibar,T smise Dubbel, McChouffe line including new triple, Ettaler and other Germans I have not seen elsewhere. This is a very good beer store and rivals the selection in Boca Raton for the best I have seen in the state to date. Still not a 5. Missed the owner Jason who is off on Sundays and Mondays, and may have shown me a series of beers not on the shelf yet.
Really the only craft beer store in Florida- but it’s still massively awesome. Alan is the man! Super nice, very helpful. Has done a lot of favors for me above the call of duty. Selection is excellent- a bit pricey. But get ready to come home with no less than a case of crazy rarities. Whenever I’m ever slightly near Otown I stop by.
Visited Jason and this is a guaranteed beer entusiast. A nice assortment, including DFH Fort, Girardin, Flying Dog Weizenbock, along the ones mentionned below. Reasonable prices, and do mention you saw his store on Ratebeer, as he is also a member. In Feb 2006, selection will take almost half the store, and this place will compete with Beers of the World, Half-time, et al....Well, Ill have to go back to FL.
Rerate Stopped by here in March of ’06 again - humongous selection of Belgians all displayed nicely and stocked well - no empty shelves. Jason is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Spent a good 45 minutes just chatting about beer, the business and RateBeer. Also have a great assortment of hard to find British gems. Solid selection of western breweries as well. Prices are reasonable as well. If you come to town to visit Disney - make this your first stop! Original Stopped here on Christmas Eve of 2004, friendly and knowledgeable service. The manager spoke with me for several minutes and proudly displayed the many Belgians he had for sale. Excellent selection for the area. I picked up about a dozen I did not have yet. Will make this a regular stop when in the Orlando area.
So a buddy and I made the trip to Olrando from Ft Lauderdale just to visit KS. And wow. Before I mention anything I have to say that Alan is just amazing. His beer knowledge puts him in the status of true beer god. What a great guy. And the selection is amazing. Jolly Pumpkin, Mikkeller, Weyerbacker, Oskar Blues, DFH, Cantillon, and TONS more. Perfect beer store and well worth spending a full day just to visit for 45 mins!
stopped there with ibrew2or3 on our way back to Tampa.
Wide selection of beers, many good imports. A lot of the Italian beers, though always priced high.
A good spot to visit while in Orlando.
A must visit for any Belgiephile or wannabes. Not the place to find many local beers but one of the best Belgian selections in the southeast if not the entire country. Incredible selection. SoLan hooked me up very nicely and even gave me a tulip when I told him I only had the cheap motel plastic cups to drink out of. Great staff - a nice young lady even tried to force vodka on me just as I got through the door. Dump the wife (or husband) and kids off at the hotel and cruise on up to check this place out - 3 miles south of FL-408 or about 1/2 mile north of Conroy Rd
This place will be a mandatory stop for me each time I’m in Orlando. Nice selection of hard to find beers and Belgium beers. I came away with some LW Lees ales, a Schlenkerla I hadn’t seen before, Trappistes Rochefort 6, 8 and 10 and a couple of domestic craft brews. I could have picked up so much more. But I’ll be back.

I’ve never seen this many Belgian beers in one place in my entire life. I could only afford about twelve, but I’ll be back again... and again... and again... and again. Add a few more trips onto those and I may finally exhaust their selection of Belgian beers I’ve neither seen nor tasted. Being in Florida, they are lacking a bit in regard to American craft beers, but I’m from the D.C./Baltimore Metro area where one can purchase pretty much any American Micro... I’m spoiled. BThanks to boboski, SoLan and mgumby10 for taking care of my beer needs while in Orlando./B
This was my third visit to Knightly Spirits, but just the first where I actually got into the store. The previous two times I went they were closed (I neglected to check the operating hours before going). There are a thousand liquor stores around the country that look like this place from the outside, and even upon initial glance when entering. But as you make your way toward the back of the store, you discover that the owners care very deeply about their beer. Belgian beer appears to be the specialty. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the store was being run on this day by fellow Ratebeerian, Solan. He was very helpful in helping me find some brews I couldn’t find in my native Chicago, as well as allowing me to break up a four pack and hooking me up with one of a large selection of beer glasses so that my rating experience while in town would be enhanced. Due to the new air travel laws that prohibit bringing liquids on board and the fact that my convention schedule would be limiting my beer consumption, I unfortunately was only able to pick up three beers (and a bottle of wine for the wife). However, I will continue to make it a priority to make a stop into Knightly Spirits during my annual visit to Orlando. You should as well.
