This shop is a long way out of my way, but it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a rare Mikkeller or a limited release De Molen then if it’s not here it’s not in London. The Belgian selection is good but the range is static. The British beer and world beer areas are more exciting. I’ve picked up lots of De Molens, Mikkeller Beer Geek Brunch Weasel, Nogne Imperial Stout Cognac BA, Struise Pannepot and Dark Island Reserve here to name just a few. It’s a treasure trove. However, on some occasions I’ve come away empty-handed so you can’t guarantee you’ll be lucky. I can see why some people have had problems with the service - Kris is a fellow beer lover and knows his stuff, but the older and younger guys who I’ve sometimes seen working there just provide cover and don’t seem to be interested in beer.

Great little beer and wine store located somewhere between Camden Town, Kentish Town and Caledonian Road. I took a walk from Kentish Town (ca 15 min) and there are buses from Camden Town. At first it just looks like an average hole-in-the-wall-liquor-store, but once you’re in, the walls are packed with interesting beers. It’s not very spacious, but the beers are well selected, with lots of beers from the US, Belgium and Denmark. Good selection of British beers, the selection of beers from London micros is specially impressive. I managed mainly on my own, so the knowledge level was hard to assess, but service was swift and friendly. Well worth a detour if you’re visiting Southampton Arms or the Camden Town pubs.

Better American selection than most places in the US, you pay for it but its much cheaper than a trade.

Great shop, very unusual vibe spent about 1/2 an hour in there most punters were Irish and Scottish alcoholics buying skol super. Anyway, selection is excellent especially for modern hop heavy beers from USA Denmark and uk. Belgian and German isn’t large but there’s some great stuff. Far better than utobeer and cheaper. There are some bargains in there too even mikkeller is reasonable. 2nd best beer shop in uk only bottle stop in cheadle hulme (gtr manchester) trumps this.

Tiny store with a brilliant selection and a very enthusiastic owner. The selection holds lots of really good both English and foreign beers - featuring Kernel, De Molen, Mikkeller etc. Fantastic service. Kris will tell you honestly whether each beer is good or not, and I really appreciate that when it comes to breweries, that I’m not familiar with. I’ll be visiting this top store again next time I go to London. Great value for money on the English beers whereas some of the foreign ones are quite expensive even compared to Denmark.

We visited here on Sunday 31st March 2013, we walked from the Southampton Arms which took about 15-20 mins. This is a very impressive beer store with a huge range of really interesting beers. I am a very regularly to be found in ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores at Goring, probably at least once a month, it is also v.impressive, though I think that on overall selection and price in particular this place wins. I picked up some really interesting beers and was v.pleased that I didn’t have to shell out an arm and a leg. This is a nice place, quite how they cram all of the beer in is beyond me (bit like Jacks on that front) If even remotely close to the area I think I would make a point of coming here, really impressed with this place.

Well, this is the best beer store I’ve found in the UK so far - only possibly rivalled by the House Of Trembling Madness in York. Shelf upon shelf of classic brews jammed into this tiny shop from all over the world. The best if the UKs new breed of progressive microbrewer alongside international favourites like MIkkeller, Flying Dog, Nogne, etc. Friendly and knowledgable staff - one of whom I think was the owner Kris. Fair prices as well, and very accomodating trading hours. Excellent.

700 bottles – yes, I really can believe the number after having been to the shop and walked through the tight passages between the shelves. The shop displays a fine selection of beers from interesting American, Belgian, German, Scandinavian, Dutch etc. breweries. They are all very well arranged and lined up. Most impressive is the selection on British, and especially, London microbreweries. Easily the best beer bottle shop I have been to so far. Smiling and friendly service. Btw, thanks for the umbrella! Very good selection. Tiny place. Friendly service. Bottles from floor to ceiling and sorted in an intuitive way. Not far to walk if you visit other beer destinations in the area. Next time it’s tempting to stay at the B&B around the corner.

I’ll say it: best bottle shop in London. To start, the selection is outstanding. Lots of British stuff, plenty of Belgian, a whole wall of German, and lots of American. (There are plenty of other countries in there, too.) The American selection was quite impressive. There was stuff in here I couldn’t even buy when I lived in New York City! Lost Abbey/Port Brewing, Odell, and Big Sky are in there, to name a few. (None of these beers are distributed in New York.) The shop itself is tiny but the space is utilized to the max. Thankfully, while I was in there there was never more than one other customer. It could get cramped very quickly, I think. And what I liked the most was that all the bottles were labled with the price. (This is not the case at Utobeer.) And the prices are better than decent. Some real bargains can be found, but for the most part the prices are fair. Sure, Kris Wines is a bit outside the city center, but there is a bus stop right nearby, and the walk from Euston Station is only about 30 minutes. I can’t wait to go back.

Note well: there are two guys who usually work here: Kris and another fella. Kris speaks perfect English and is very helpful. The other guy’s English is minimal.

I have been to Kris Wines many times over past few years. It is a small shop near Camden in North London. The selection is very good as they always have a lot of Belgian and British micro brews as well as a decent German selection and an ever increasing collection of US Beers. It’s just a small store and things are a bit crowded but organized. The staff are super friendly but not overly knowledgeable. The beers are in good shape but I have seen a couple of beers (IPAs) that were were a bit out of date. IMO that is partially the consumers responsibility to check though. In the end the Prices are fair, staff are very nice and helpful and the beer selection is Great. I need to get back there soon.
