One of my favorite bars in Brussels. The fantastic brass barrel on the bar, jugs of lambic on every table. This is a wonderful place to drink in, it is peaceful even when busy, people respect their beer that come in here. A true classic in my opinion, I couldn’t visit Brussels without walking down the alley to this bar. The service has always been fine, as has been the quality of the beers, there are livelier places to drink in Brussels, but this is what the Brussels beer scene is really all about. Miss it at your peril!

Nice joint. Though the menu is a bit limited, they serve hearty (if not exactly cheap) food and have one or two beers you can’t get elsewhere. A nice lunch option on a Sunday.

This is one of those very tricky to find places that when you stumble upon it you realise that actually the signs are there and you should have found it before now. We visited here on Friday 16th December 2011, i’ve realised that the place existed before but somehow walked past scratching my head, this time with the aid of ’Around Brussels in 80 Beers’ It was located quite swiftly & easily. When we arrived it was fairly quiet, but it slowly became a little busier as we merrily tucked into our Spaghetti’s. Loz had the house special, I had cheese and ham they were absolutely fine but I rather chuckled and liked the fact that the house version was differentiated only by the addition of some tinned peas, still it was reasonably priced, warm and filling, and Loz loves peas. I had the Timmermans Lambic Doux a beer that I’d never had before and whilst a tad on the sweet side it slipped down a treat. The wood pannelling, the waitors aprons, the peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the world outside are all good reasons to come here and I would thoroughly recomend popping in here to anyone in the area. Btw there is a decent little vinyl shop around the corner next to Cirio that is worth a gander.

Very nice place but difficult to find. Quiet so it’s a nice place to relax and drink a beer. Not a lot of variety, mostly lambic beers.

Small and hidden place in the center of brussels. The offer unblended lambic beers (draft) which is a real speciality! Can only recommend to try it yourself!

My favorite place in Brussels. A small "hole in the wall" kind of place. The menu is not all that great but a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Nice old boozer. Selection is not all that impressive, but you can get the Doux Lambic. Worth a quick stop.

An old world Belgian bar. Bright lighting, wood-pannelled, attent waitstaff and a nice selection of krieks, lambics, geuze. I enjoyed the Bourgogne des Flandres. Old school.

Nice place full of tourists and the only place to drink Timmerman’s Doux Lambic. Otherwise, unremarkable beer selection. Worth a visit.
