Mediocre in nearly every regard, unless you are excited about a sportsbar (which it pulls off pretty well). Food is standard bar fare, and not particularly good or creative. The beers are Empyrean, which are nice, but that limits the selection. Tried with Jess in 2015 before the Nikki Lane show.
Good little brewpub of Empyrean Brewing Co. About 8 of their own beers on tap, including a couple of seasonals. Beers are pretty good - not great but certainly not bad. Typical menu - burgers, sandwiches, steak, chicken, seafood. The Omaha Steak was good. Service seems pretty good for the most part. Definitely worth a stop in if in the area.

If you’re in Lincoln, you have to make a stop at Lazlo’s. House-brewed beer. It’s probably not going to blow your socks off, but it’s certainly drinkable. Great food and atmosphere as well. Try the beer cheese soup - you’ll be happy you did.

I usually stop in here every time I’m in Lincoln with jcnielsen. Pretty good service with above average beers. Maybe the best beer stop in Lincoln.
I have been to Lazlo’s a couple of times while staying in Lincoln. Lazlo’s is pretty typical of a brewpub. They have around 6 regular taps plus a couple of seasonals. The beers are average for a brewpub, nothing has been very special, but nothing has been horrible. I haven’t had the food, but I’ve been told its pretty decent for a brewpub. In general, I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to hit up Lazlo’s, but if I was in downtown, I would definitely hit it up, since there aren’t a ton of bars that offer great local selection of beers.
This was the first brewpub that I ever visited in Nebraska in 1990. Brass and glass decor, super service, delicious food. The standard offerings are always solid and flawless, but I wish that they’d take more brewing style risks for the geeks. Of course, geeks don’t keep the doors open.
