Nice retro look. The offering brewed there are solid not oustanding. There’s a small private import selection. Prices are fair staff is knowledgeable not too welcoming tough. Worth the trip pretty close to Saint-Bock and L’amere a boire too.
Right on Ontario Street near Berri-Uqam is this brewpub/taproom wit a small terrace in front and a surprisingly large interior which is red velvet, chrome, red lanterns, ceiling fans and has a cool elegant funky vibe. 2$ for 5oz from 3-8pm makes for reasonably priced tasters. 1 waitress makes for somewhat indifferent service as she had her hands full in the pretty busy bar.
Nice brewpub near to the metro station Berri-UQAM. Very interesting place. dark ambiance with red lights around the bar which dominate the place. There are 8 beers on tap. Goods beers and nice service. The music is fine and the ambiance is ok. A little bit to dark to be very friendly. One of the good address of Montreal for beers.
Nice tucked away place on Ontario St. Selection is not huge, but what’s on the board is pretty good. The IPA Grand Nez is one of the best IPAs I’ve had. Services is good and there’s plenty of room to relax and stretch out. Remember, careful how you drive and where you park, cops are dicks here (especially officer Silverman, unit 548, AKA Pussy with a Badge)
Nice brewpub well located near the Berri-Uqam subway station. It look a bit outdated inside and the terrace is small, but the place is still quite enjoyable. Service was very good and friendly. Selection is ok-good, with mostly their beers on tap. They also have a couple of private importations in bottles, including Cantillon. The beers were ok to really good. Prices are very good for the area, especially in the afternoon. You can get any beer available in 5oz, which is great for tickers. It worth the visit.
A great brewpub in Montreal. Fairly dark and conspicuous inside. There were around 10 beers on tap, 5-6 regulars and 3-4 special beers that are only served in 16 oz. The "specials", which included an IPA and hoppy red ale, were quite good, and the regular stout was pretty decent. It seemed like all the beers were around $6/serving (20 or 16 oz depending on the beer). Service was a bit sparse, but it seemed there was one bartender serving the bars, tables, and outdoor patio on a Sunday evening, so I don’t know if that’s typical. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and definitely a solid brewpub to check out, there definitely are some winners among the bunch.
