Visited 17.1.15. Small, basement-like place right in the city center, not far from the Taphouse. Informal atmosphere and good background music. Beer’s good, we managed to taste a bunch of stuff we didn’t spot in other bars in town, despite the small selection. Well worth the visit.
I’ve been there a couple of times and the atmosphere is pretty good. The selection of beer is okay for a "brown bar" (a place where smoking is allowed), but it doesn’t compare favourably with any of the good beer bars is town - not at their as-high prices, and not being a smoker I don’t see myself coming there other than very rarely. But still - it does have a nice atmosphere.
Visited a Saturday afternoon after some hefty shopping... A pint at Lord Nelson should be suitable to calm the nerves down a bit... Small basement bar in inner city Copenhagen with brown interior, low ceiling and lots of memorabilia around the bar. Including a large painting of the infamous Lord Nelson. Smoking is for some reason allowed this place, except for Mondays and Fridays before 22.00. No smoking while I was there - however, you can smell the smoke. Solely Danish microbrews on tap and a couple of their own ciders. Amager, Ugly Duck, Beer Here etc. Nice service from the barman, who offered samples. Offerings are also Whisky and speciality Rum. Tiny toilets with the worlds smallest sink... This is a nice, cosy place. However, since smoking is allowed and Copenhagen has so much else to offer (in terms of beers, that is) I will not be a regular customer. Other places offers a broader selection and a smoke-free environment.
Small basement beer bar with a very low hanging ceiling. Decent service. 14 taps filled the with beer and three ciders at my visit. Most are good but fairly common with the likes of Ugly Duck, Amager, Beer Here, hornbeer and Hancock featuring. Tjis is a fairly good place, but there is just so mich else going on in Copenhagen at the moment, that I’d rather spend my time elsewhere. there was was no smoking going on when I was there. That would have detracted considerably from my score.
Visited in 2013. Small pub with a small but nice selection of beers. It was a bit dirty and smokey when we where there so not the nicest place to sit and drink beer. But worth a visit for a short stop at the bar.
Good service, both small and big glasses, pretty good prices, nobody smoking at the time of my visit.
The tap list could have the beer style listed as well but then again, got some samples when I asked about some of the beers... :)
Not so cosy cellarbar, alas smoking allowed. 14 taps mostly with craftbeers and many very new. For the time being no ciders, but they might come back. Nice beercard. There were 9 of 14 new beers for me. Excellent. A place to stop by, very close to Charlies and BarleyWine.
