I am an Indiana boy and am in Fort Wayne often for business, but have never been to this location, my loss. I was riding my V-rod to my mother’s cottage near Warsaw and stopped here. Off the standard path but the location is large and visible. Bar is old wood and has a large food seating. Server was very freindly and offered a sampler quickly and was good at discussing the beers. People came in and asked about the bike and offered food and beer recommendations. I had the grouper sandwich. Great. This would be a great addition to a beer tour from Indy up I-69 to Muncie, Fort Wayne, Marshall and turn right or left to finish the day.
First off, big thank you to Rose, our bartender...friendly, knowledgable...a really wonderful lady.....she even tried to arrange a special tour for me, but with only a lunchtime staff, couldn’t spare a guide.
Warm, open, friendly decor.....the rest of the staff were great...
Food is top notch, nicely priced and service is prompt.
The pints tried were all well above average......fresh, well poured and damn tasty.
I definitely expect return visits in the future, and I hope I can get back soon......
Just a wonderful spot.
This place has kind of an old-timey diner feel. Pleasant live acoustic band was playing on this Saturday night, a little patio is available too. The bartender was great. It probably helped that there were only four patrons at the bar. Beer selection has a little bit of everything including a smoked amber ale which I enjoyed. The food menu is standard pub grub. My cheesesteak was tasty. Definitely worth a stop for some local brew.
This is one of my favorite places to go. The atmosphere is both comfortable and electric. The food is fantastic and well priced and the brewer normally has at least 8 beers on tap with many constantly rotating. The only downside is they do not always have a good selection of guest beer available.
My brother brought me here while I was visiting Fort Wayne and I was very glad. The beers were all very well produced and the taps had a wide range to meet everyone’s need. The service was spot on and my waitress knew a lot about the beer with history to back it up. I recommend a stop if your in the area.
The main Mad Anthony’s is on Broadway and has a real hippie/green feel to it. Food is good, espesially pizza and sandwiches. They have their own beers plus some other bottles for those not into craft brew. Nice selection of seasonals. If you have to go to Ft. Wayne, it is a must stop.
Mad Anthony is one of the few eclectic microbrew places in fort wayne. What is nice is that you can take your whole family for the great food, while you enjoy the excellent selection of microbrews. Ambiance is artsy/eccentric, always a nice seasonal on tap. I don’t get there enough!!
Mad Anthony’s is a non-corporate feel to their place. It is a very relaxed dark room, a little run down but cozy.Just place to come have a great micro brew after work or anytime you feel the need. They have a diverse menu and the food I had was decent. They have normal service and some really great beers. Limited selection of bottles but more than made up for with nice selection of house taps.
