Stopped in just to check this place out and get a few new beers. Walked into like a carnival feel almost lots of fun stuff going on along with all sorts of art and crazy decoration. The staff was very nice and pretty knowledgeable
Ambiance: Really cool decorations and such, I really liked the set-up. It felt fun and welcoming. Service: Neither good or bad, friendly people but seemed to kick back instead of working. Selection: Only had 6 or 8 beers on tap, bummer. Overall: The aesthetics are cool inside, outside it’s not too inviting though. Selection could be bigger, but it’s worth a stop here.

Dog friendly. Has lots of beer, glasses, t-shirts, etc. for sale. Has 8 beer on tap and usually 1 or 2 local (VT only) brews. Staff has always been super friendly and helpful. Ambiance feels a little strange, like a mix between a store that fits into a mall-like setting and a pub. You can pick up growlers or samples (4). Samples are free and you pick from 8 on tap.
Growlers, tasting flights, dog friendly, bottles, cases, lots of glasses/t-shirts/etc
I’ve never really been a huge fan of Magic Hat, but stopped by anyway. It’s a quirky joint, with a haunted house vibe going on, even without the smattering of Halloween decor. The staff seemed like they could care less about our presence, but did offer the free round of four samples. I only had two because I didn’t want any more than that, and you can’t get a pint anyway. Gotta pay for anything else, including 25 cents per coaster, so more of a schwag shop than anything else. (Brewery #671)
So Vermont has weird laws regarding samples and you can only get 4 samples. Magic Hat has 8 or so beers on tap for samples only, no growlers or pints. But they do have a large selection of bottles to go, some that aren’t so easy to find. Of course there is the usual brewery tour, and a ton of merchandise. They are pet friendly and that is a big plus in my book.
