When it comes to Tallahassee, this is the best beer store in town. I have talked with many of the local beer enthusiasts in town and we all agree that this place is the best.
Their beer selection is always the finest in town. I could go on an on about their current selection of beers, but youíll never know exactly what theyíll have until go. New beers come in in every week so I try to go often just to see whatís new.
The people working there are friendly and knowledgeable. They have also been doing this longer than anyone else in town.
Overall, if youíre in Tallahassee, then this should be your first destination.

Thanks to the staff at MSL for doing special orders. My only problem with MSL is that they donít have enough coolers for all the delicious beers Iíd like them to carry.
the marketsquare on timberlane and the MSL at the tharpe and monroe interesction have the best selection of real beer in tally. The staff is intelligent and helpful. they seem to understand that people that shop at MSL are dumb about drinking like most of my florida state peers.
This is my favorite place to shop for beer in town. Good selection, but not the best in town. Staff is very knowledgeabe and friendly. They will gladly order any beer you want (as long as their distributor carries it). You have to pay attention to dates here. Iíve found awesome 07, 08 and 09 beers for regular price (120 minute, WorldWide Stout, Bigfoot, etc), but on the flip side Iíve also gotten IPAs that were not so fresh. They often have limited release beers hidden in the back...you must ask for them if you donít see them. They often had the last couple bottles of a particular beer in a "reduced" section in the front of the beer area. Iíve gotten bombers for $1.99 on several occasions as they just try to get rid of it and free up room. Not much of a wine person, but they have a great selection and every time I have needed a wine, the staff have taken the time to help me find just the right one. Every wine they have recommended has been stellar.
Just stopped by for the first time today, and I wish I had before!
A decently lit, somewhat typical looking liquor store. Hard to get to unless youíre in the right area.
Though I didnít get much help while shopping, the staff was fun, warm, and very funny. I got welcomed in the door and charmed the whole checkout.
Iíd say they have just about everything thatís available in Tallahassee, but Iím not sure how much they sell of it, so freshness might become an issue on some stuff. Lots of different stuff, though, and usually lots of it.
Average prices for the area, but they have a nice little beer rack where they put up single beers for a buck that theyíre trying to get rid of.
Typical liquor store ambiance; half the store is wine, a quarter liquor, a quarter beer. Service is good, not overbearing, but not sure how much they know about their product as I was not really helped. Selection is solid, good variety, but nothing a whole lot different than what you would find at other good bottle shops around town - Proof and Fermentation Market. They do have a back stock that post dates the aforementioned though, including things that run out quickly. They seem to have less beer centric buyers and more typical liquor store customers. Good place with average prices for the area.
Pretty good liquor, beer and wine store on the north side of town. They stock pretty much the same things Liquor Loft does with some random things here and there. A big plus for this store is that will always have the freshest Cigar City beers. If Liquor Loft doesnít have any of the standard CCB stuff youíre sure to find Jai Alai, Maduro & Tocobaga here.
Great little store. Well not soo little but cozy I guess? Seems like a mom and pop place. Lots of craft in all formats cold and warm six packs bombers 750ís of all kinds of stuff. They have somewhere near the selection amount wise of liquor loft but nowhere near the variety. Though i did find 2 single bottles of hopslam there that were just sitting on a shelf in the cooler 2 months after I saw the last drop of it in tallahassee. I paid form half of them with change from my buddies cup holder. Dont think the staff has ever asked me a question. But they are always friendly when I check out and they help me when I need it. Store knowlege not beer knowledge really. Prices are on the cheaper end .(if you like scotch paired with big stouts they have an amazing scotch selection)
Very impressive liquor store- very large with a cigar humidor and lots of helpful, fun to talk with staff. Very nice Scotch and bourbon selection. Had in stock my favorite Scotch, Ardbeg Uigeadail. Beer selection was not bad- some weird stuff like Cigar City/Bruery collaborations, Ghost Face Killah chili pepper beer, some weird New Zealand stuff. Other than that, lots of typical craft stuff: DFH, Sierra Nevada. This area of Florida gets a ton of Sweetwater beers so I reckon they are pretty fresh. Most of the bottles in the middle of the store can also be found refrigerated in the back. I walked out with 2-3 bottles of things I had never seen before. Overall, probably a good place to stock up on good beer for the weekend. For finding special releases, probably not. Prices were quite good coming from DC area.
