Moerlein Lager House is pretty swanky, but it doesn’t really feel German or overly beer-related. It has more of a modern feel than anything. The food is tasty, but rides the fence between being priced reasonably and high/over-priced. The beer selection is pretty good with about 6 Moerlein beers on tap and 14 or so Guest Taps along with a bunch of other stuff available in bottles. THE STAFF AND BARTENDERS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BEERS (regardless of where it is a Moerlein or guest beer). If it’s not written down someplace (either on the menu or tap handle), they have no idea what they have, what it is, or anything else about it! That is pretty terrible for a brewpub/LAGER HOUSE!
Great new location near river and ball parks. Great service. Good selection and brewing on site. Hope they do new beers. I will come back and try food. Rating may change when I do.

Damn, I wish I could give ambiance a higher amount because this place has it. Beautifully constructed,on the river, with a view of everything and within walking distance of both stadiums. The Moerlein beers served on site are brewed down stairs in 33 bbl system. Most of the taps are Moerlein products and if you become nostalgic for Cincy beers from the 50 & 60(which I never do) this is the place to go. They have a guest tap list(25 or so at this point) that includes some quality Belgians and midwest micros. If you sometimes find yourself as the craft beer expert in a group, this is a place you are going to have to go, because somebody is sure to ask you about it.
