Long reclaimed industrial feel, busy and vibrant after 7 on the last Thursday in June 2016. Grabbed a couple seats along the pizza bar. Fairly extensive tap list with a good representation of styles over 50-70ish taps, downside is that I recall halves being about as small as the pours go, so tough to do a lot of sampling. Kitchen was busy, as was the venue itself. Not entirely packed, there were definitely tables and spots at the bars and high tops available from time to time, but a good crowd. Family friendly, with a kids menu and I saw the hostess grabbing some crayons for a couple with a young kid.
Really cool space that looks like an old theater from the outside. Amazing high ceilings in the back. Food menu was basic and uninspiring. The beer menu is decent with a heavy weight on local beers. Lots of new ticks for me. However, they offer no flights and only flights so it makes tough to tick or enjoy the experience. Potentially a good place if you live in town, but not great for an out of towner wanting to try some beers.
We sat outside on the patio, very nice night. First night in LA, so very psyched. Had to order at the bar, had a few nice beers on draught. Didn’t have any food. Too bad we were tired and didn’t have too much time. Would come back here!
Visited for dinner before going to see the Dodgers. This place is very cool, huge mid section with secluded areas, big California beer selection, good Pub food, not too expensive, offered 2 pre-selected flights of ipas and ciders. If you have a car, it may be wise to consider using the valet parking at 6.75$, as parking can be complicated here.
Visited 25.4.16 at noon. Huge and rather fancy space that specializes in Californian beer and spirits. Were too trashed from the day before and in a hurry to the airport so stayed for one round. Fresh beer and well-maintained taps, a friendly and helpful bartender and greasy vegan options on the menu. Too posh for me but the vast and interesting selection made me wish we would’ve booked a later flight.
The bar is on Sunset Boulevard around a mile from Dodgers Stadium with buses running along Sunset from downtown. It was pretty busy on the Sunday night we visited with a 35 minute wait for tables but there was plenty of seats in and around the bar. A great selection of beers on tap though having left my spectacles in my hotel I had difficulty reading it in the subdued lighting! The staff were excellent and our server knew her beer. The Golden Road Point the Way IPA was excellent and the Mohawk Burger hit the spot. With classic rock as background music all was good!
Visited shortly after an IPA fest, hence a menu full of IPAs... Uber local, fresh, the whole nine yards.. Only complaint that I wouldn’t hold against them because it was tap takeover runoff was a beer menu lacking diversity. That aside, this place fucking rocks. If this were in NYC... It would be jam fucking packed 24/7. Food was also quite impressive, had the Mohawk burger.. Bacon & shortrib.. Mmmmm. I was super impressed, def gets an A. Killer tunes all night.
