Popped in to this brewpub during an unusually warm November day in Savannah. I sat at the bar, since I didn’t plan on eating and really only wanted to sample the brews. I tried some samples and ended up ordering a special bourbon barrel aged version of their seasonal Oud Brune. This beer was excellent. My father ordered the Captain’s Porter, which was also very good. As for the other beers, they were average or less. One thing I did not like was the presentation of the sweet potato ale. The beer itself is ok, but they serve it in a glass rimmed with sugar and spices. I did not like this with the beer. The service was good, plus it was not very crowded in the middle of the afternoon, so we had the barmaid pretty much to ourselves. Was a little surprised at her lack of knowledge considering she is the bar tender of a brewpub, but still much better than the typical chain restaurant waiter. Overall a good experience.

Brewery on the main drag in savannha with an indoor area and a biergarten. WE were in the biergarten, it was during their oktoberfest party so many early drinkers around noon. We even saw a shitfaced guy passed out but the bartenders noticed and kicked him out. The beers are not that good but service was top notch, pricing is a touch pricey. Beer to go is nice.

Visited on the late morning of 19/02/15 just after opening. Sat at the bar with Brorino and we pretty much had the place to ourselves whilst we worked our way through a tasting flight. 7 or 8 beers on tap including a cask line. Typical old skool brew pub range and quality. No obvious defects in the beers ... just a bit on the bland side. The place is certainly more eatery than a drinking den and most of the tables were laid out ready for lunch. Service was friendly and the girl chatted to us at the bar, that said she had no one else to concern her until a couple of diners showed up just before we left. Didn’t try the food but beer wise it was just fine ... rock up .. do tasting tray in half an hour ..... move on kind of a place.

Cool old building in the main part of downtown. They have a large beer garden area next to the building. Slightly loud as it is on a corner and right next to the street (may have been a building there that was removed?? Seems big enough to be an old building footprint). The outdoor beer garden section has a nice bar and bathrooms and such. Would be a great place to enjoy some beers. I didn’t get to try many of their beers but what I had was good. They had several guest tap beers, some from other local breweries. Worthwhile place to go to while in Savannah.

2-25-2013. An old building undergoing construction for a beer garden. Service is average and was here during lunch time. They have eight (8) of their beers on tap plus two guest taps. They have bar and table seating. The brewery is visible from the bar area. The brewmaster stopped at our table and had an enjoyable beer discussion. This is a place worth checking out.

Brewpub with pretty good food and a decent sized selection of their not-too-bad beer. The only real issue I had was the service. There were some significant blunders, and no freebies were offered to make up for it. Still if you’re looking for new beers, it’s an alright place to pop into.

Visited in the afternoon, and found the place fairly welcoming. Sat at the inside bar to get a break from the heat, so I can’t say anything about the outdoor portion of the place other than that it looked inviting. The house beers ranged from mediocre to solid, with the best being the collaboration with Southbound called Duppy Conqueror. 10 total house beers available. Sampler was reasonable enough, though you could argue slightly overpriced.

Visited February 19, 2015.

Theydon_bros and I stopped in to get a Georgia state place tick (since my Atlanta airport place tick is only borderline counts). Stopped in early, shortly after opening and were just about the only customers in the place. Sitting at the bar you can’t see much of the restaurant the way it’s laid out. The brewery was off to the one side and the tables and the bathrooms were on the other side.

They had about 10 taps or so, most of which were meh. I think the honey habanero cask might have been the best of the bunch. The server was friendly enough and the prices weren’t bad but the beer isn’t really worth making the trip for.

Now, what is worth making the trip for is the city of Savannah. Each block has a small park in the middle, so driving through that area is tough but there are tons of statues and other non-beer(degenerate) things to look at. I wouldn’t mind spending a day or two in this area to get a little bit of culture. I’d probably find a different brewery to drink at though.
