Looks like EricG below has an axe to grind, ignore his rating. This is the first time I’ve been here since it changed the name to Morgantown. Large and dark inside, had a tuff time reading my menu. Limited parking bugs me. Friendly service. Prices for beer are good and they have a nice size sampler of 10 for $10, good deal. Has a deck outside if you want. Food was a little pricey for the serving size but my catfish and chips were dead on! Yum! Wife and I had a good overall dining experience.
It’s open at noon on Sundays, but they can’t serve beer until 1PM due to the blue laws. I had a good luch while I was waiting. The menu is basically pub fare, but it is quite good. I had a killer Scotch Ale n’ Onion soup as a starter. Followed that up with a bratwurst with kraut on a great roll. Excellent fries on the side. The place itself is set in a really old building. Lots of old dark wood, with brick in some areas. It has a nice charm. And my server was very attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
Really solid little brewpub. The food has been great each time I’ve had it except once... and they immediately made that issue right.
Beer is always better than decent. The IPA was off one batch, but on again the next time I had it. Happy to support the local brewery.
The front room of this place has a large U-shaped bar, lots of tables, and a jazz band when we stopped by. Then you can walk into the brewery and turn right to find a smaller, more intimate bar. Selection is the same at both, so take your pick. Staff was terrific - Antonio steered us in the right direction and made sure we got a glass of the seasonal which wasn’t on the menu. Beers were tasty. Didn’t try the food, but I would return to do so. Nice stop.
Stopped by here on my way to Maryland for my sister’s graduation. Cool-looking place. Spacious and charming. Very close to the river, with an awesome-looking deck that almost has a view of it. Service was great. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, and when I met one of the brewers he went out of his way to accommodate me. About a dozen or so house beers on tap, which were solid and interesting to try. Glad I stopped by.
Large old school taproom with some charm and parking in the back. Service was really pleasant and they were passionate about the beer. Decent selection all pretty solid with flights and tasters available. Food was pretty good and a reasonable price as well. A surprisingly nice stop and I would recommend to anyone.
Really cool brewpub...spatious. reminds me a bit of an iron hill but more laid back. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Food was pretty good as was the beer and prices were good. Plus they have a PB beer. seems I had a better experience than many other visitors who rated the place...maybe they are stepping it up? Give em a chance!
