We had to re-order our crawl because we were out of cash, and they don’t take plastic, and the nearest cash machine was as far away as the next pub - no worries, this was a nice convenient location, so we could fit it in later easily. We sat in the large summer terrace on one side of a picturesque little park - where they have a set of pumps so you don’t need to wait for the waitresses to go across the road to the cellar bar main part. Interior of that was very pretty, we know because that’s where the toilets are. Staff were helpful and friendly, the English has improved a little since Marduk’s earlier trip here (hence the ability to get directions to a cash machine). Beers were pretty solid. Don’t mind passing here again - food looked good, but didn’t eat.
Went to their "beer garten", since it was a nice day. Took them forever to get us our beer, even a table that arrived 10 minutes after us, got their drinks before we did. Very weird, you wouldn’t think it’s that hard to get 3 beers, especially since they have a draft house outside, in the beer garten. Food came with weird timings. We were given our soup, and almost immediately after that the main dishes came. The waitress tripped and dropped one or two of the plates (wooden boards actually), that were taken inside. The third plate of meat however was served, as were the plates of vegetables and potatoes. So one person could eat everything, the other two could just eat their potatoes and had to wait (quite a while) to get their meats. I know this is not a restaurant reviewing website, but still a free pro-tip for the service: if you can’t serve 3 people at the same time, because of an accident, take ALL the food back in, try to APOLOGISE, and keep some stuff warm, while you cook some new food for the dropped plates. This was just ridiculous. Anyway. The food itself was effin’ delicious! Best smoked ribs I ever had, and I’m a BBQ person! The pork chop with mushroom cream sauce was also to die for. And the fries were some of the best we had in Czech. Beers were ok. Good thing it was a thirsty hot day. :p
It’s a brewpub with three beers. The top of the range 12 is a full-strength blond lager with insufficient lagering or decoction but perfectly drinkable. The food is big. With the right friends a good night can be had.
