Visited April 19, 2013 after stopping at the Bruery to try some Humulus Palm.
I’ve been in here a dozen times over the years to grab a soda on the way in or out of the Bruery tasting room but I guess I hadnt been back since they started carrying decent beer. Naturally they have a decent Bruery selection but they also have a bunch of other stuff that you may not expect from looking at the outside (Racer X, BRUX, a sizeable Green Flash collection, most of the Lost Abbey lineup, and more).
Prices were reasonable and pretty much everything else goes with a small liquor/convenience store applies here. I’ll probably stop in again at some point after leaving the Bruery.
Visited in February 2017. Arrived to Bruery but it wasn’t yet open so decided to this dirty looking liquor store. It was good decision because selection inside was much much better than expected. Some rare bottles also available and naturally large selection from Bruery.
A typical corner store with a great selection of beers. One of the better selections we saw in LA. So close to the Bruery almost a no brainier. Owner was pleasant and helpful with pretty solid pricing. Except for the tight quarters, a good stop.
Only stopped here since we were at The Bruery and our ride was a little late. Big sign saying over 50 brands. Looks like a hole in the wall liquor store, then I walked in. If I wasn’t in CA for only 1 more day and I had lots of luggage, I would have dropped hundreds of bucks here. For me to see this many new beers is amazing.
Recommended by Bman1113vr, so I had to stop by while visiting..Lets just say I could have spent a good amount of money here and had to hold back..They staff went out of their way to help me with some stuff and the prices were the best I had found in the area..I will not making a trip to LA area without stopping here.
Short: A legit bottle shop walking distance from The Bruery.
Long: Semi dumpy convenience store with a mega beer selection inside: cases of Lagunitas Sucks, lots of weird Belgian bottles, 3F Geuze, local beers in sixers and singles, cases of harder to find Mikkeller stuff, Amager Weasel Brunch, oddball New Zealand and Italian stuff. Definitely a hidden gem that should not be overlooked when visiting The Bruery.
Another place we just bumped into, but I admit we were guided a little bit by user womancantsail. Got a lot of beauties from all of US, California high lighted. Friendly if not so very knowledgeable service. Definitely a place I’d visit again 130811
This place has great craft beer selection at great price. What’s easier for me is they are right of 57 fwy and orangethorpe. This place is my second stop after I hang out at at the brewery as this place is 100 feet from brewery. This place is getting better and better.
