Visited early Saturday afternoon on a Cubs gameday. I have been to Murphy’s many times over the years, and the crowd really varies whether it’s pre-game, post-game or a non gameday. Personally, I always avoid post-game, place is just a mess, but hey, that might be your scene. Open air corner pur across the street from the left field entrance of Wrigley Field. Outdoor seating along patio, or area to stand around inside. Full bar, featuring a handful of craft taps and bottles. When I visited, they had “Irish Wit” by Burning City brewing Chicago. Food is available. Service depends understandably on the crowds.

64 = ★★ (Just ok)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

A few decent brews available. Convenient to grab one before a ball game.

If your in for a Cubs game its worth hitting up. Beyond that nothing special, generic sports bar.

This place has gotten better, across the street from the ballpark. Usually way too packed. Has an outdoor area. Selection about 8 or so micro/import beers. I had a celebrator when I was there ($7) not bad. Taps include guiness, oberon, sierra and Goose Island. Sheffields and Goose Island is better but this is right across the street from the bleacher. Food is burger and dogs. Could be worse.

Believe it or not, this Wrigleyville bastion is now offering reasonably priced flights, including DIYs, of a small but charming selection of local beers. Friendly bar, the kind that has the lights ON. Probably, besides Goose Island Wrigleyville, your best local bet for some decent taps.
