Great place. They have a great selection of beers both on tap and in the bottle. The fun part is when a keg blows, they almost never replace the keg with the same beer. I havent had the food, but I know the guy that put the limited menu together, and Im sure he did a good job. Don Webb and GM Rachaal are always a pleasure to talk to about beer.
Don’t let them tell you that Brouwer’s is the #1place for beer in Seattle. For me that is Naked City. Very friendly waitstaff. Great ambience; one half is a place to sit with couches and you can watch great old movies on the big screen, with subtitles. Excellent beer selection of both in house and rotating taps from other breweries. This is the place for me in Seattle.
Now this was a place I came to expecting a fairly good beer bar and nothing more. I was entirely conquered by this fairly feep, yet rather narrow bar with bright, white walls and an industrial look. The house beers which occupy maybe half the taps were generally very solid and the guests seemed to be a selection of the top breweries of the area. I did not even consider browsing through the bottle list, I could have stayed and enjoyed half of their taps no problem if I did not have other ambitions that evening. There was not much of an ambiance when I visited as it was late and almost empty on a weekday, but I remained entirely captivated. It’s also within walking distance of other good spots and that makes it an easy must in Seattle, perhaps number 2 behind Brouwers and ahead of Uber Tavern to me.
This place is awesome. We have nothing like this in Atlanta. A failry decent sized place. Sat at the tables on the left hand side of the bar. Very good service. Nice selection of drafts. I was able to try Blind Pig on tap. The food selection wasn’t as awful as everyone makes it out to be. This place is a great place to drink. It is in an awesome part of town. Second to Uber in my opinion.

Visited early evening on Tuesday, Jan 13 2009 with bvc. This place has a very tasteful modern clean feel to it. Decent sized bar with a bunch of bar tables. Service at the bar was very attentive and friendly. I really like what they are doing with the tap list, focusing on local Washington State brewers. They also have a small brew kit in back and brew a couple of their own house beers. Hit had more Washington tap handles than any other place I have seen in Seattle. This alone makes it worth the visit if you are looking to try a bunch of WA beer. Food menu was really limited, and not terribly exciting. I didn’t eat, so can’t speak to quality at all. Coll concept, well executed. I wish every city had a place like this, couple of house beers, huge focus on locals, etc.
88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
They are really working hard to bring their prices in line since they opened, and that is just awesome. They have tons of great taps for sure--lots of Washington State stuff. The food is just ok, but the service is really good, and the owners want to succeed with the beer geeks. They will hang out with you and shoot the breeze. The Washington state selection is not to be trifled with--this place lives and dies by it, but it is a pretty amazing local selection.
Great place within walking (or stumbling) distance, so I go fairly often. Beer selection is great- 24 taps of mostly local stuff, but always a few interesting brews from farther away, and the taps rotate pretty frequently. The owners and staff are all friendly and willing to talk about beer or whatever. It is a pretty good sized place, and "modern clean feel" is probably as well as you could describe the decor. Not my ideal setting, but it doesn’t bother me. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Seattle area.
Nice place they have a great selection of brews over 23 awesome taps and some of there own brews . Great food and service they will take care of the beer customer. A must stop for the Seattle beer scene.
I have been here several times and they always have something new on tap that is local and I have not tried. They have also a list of what will replace the beers currently on tap to entice you to return. Amazing place for a great selection of Washington beers.
