OK, I could mive in here and live very hsppily. Just a sleeping bag on one of the benches or behind the bar, and I’m good. The pizza is phenomenal. The staff definitely belive in the "be kind to strangers" rule, choosing a great sampler tray, and throwing in extra samples, plus good advice on the beer, food, and other beery things in the area. Oh, and the whole afternoon, deep dish pizza and all, was ten bucks. I can’t get one beer for that in DC.
High expectations on this one with a 99 rating and all. I actually parked in the lot across the street as the dedicated lot was full, but that was no issue. There are two separated places here - the Public House, which is more of a laid back bar atmosphere with comfy chairs and little rooms, and the Pizzeria, which looks more like a restaurant. Both sides have the full beer menu (although there were certainly not 35 taps, nor 220 bottles). About 8-10 New Albanian beers and another 12 or so guest taps was what I counted. Service was friendly, Pizza prices were really good, and they offered several styles of pizza, all at what I would consider great prices. The upside down pizza was certainly excellent. Flights were available - pick four or five; I actually forgot which. Was not overly excited by the beers I sampled. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really shined either. All in all an enjoyable place, not sure why it has a 99 rating though.

Visited for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The brewery was easy to find in a strip mall across from a Kroger. The place itself is split into a Pizzeria side and a Public House side. I chose the Public House, which also featured the Pizzeria menu. The Public House is split into multiple darkly lit rooms featuring tables, booths and comfortable chairs and sofas. I sat at the back bar and had a 5 beer sampler, a pizza and an additional Nonic pint. Service was busy, yet was able to be attentive and filled my needs. The bartender selected my 5 beers for the sampler, and did a nice job grabbing a wide range of styles. The beer quality was really good, particularly the Mild, which was one of the best milds I have had from a US Brewer. Selection is really large for a brewpub, they had about 15 of their own beers + at least 20 guest draft beers. I didn’t check the bottle list, though I did see a couple of nice bottles heading out to tables. Nice place, I am sure I will be back.
82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
Rich O’s is the place. They are super militant about good beer and get some ridiculously rare and delicious stuff on tap. Rotation and upkeep of said selection is stellar. The ambiance is perfect: warm and homey if you are a beer snob. There are enough anti-swill and Marxist displays to make a macro-drinker uncomfortable. I love "The Bud Drinker" painting near the couch.
Located in an interesting building and has a bit of a maze feel to it. A nice selection of guest drafts as well as their own beers. The staff seemed nice and knowledgeable. The food was quite nice and I was impressed overall.
Rode my motorcycle to this area to try two locations. This is off the main drag into New Albany and not easy to find even with good map. Small bar area that looks like it is attached to local brewers club. Selection was good and service was quick and knowledge of beers was good. Food menu was pub food from what appeared to be joint kitchen with next door pizza parlor. Pizza was good. Interesting local brewpub type location.
This place is legit and surprised me in so many ways. The decor is awesome, homey, nice leather bar area. The best part is the beer board. Their beer placards are art, you should sit in front of them. 14 beers of theirs on tap, 30ish guest taps, 6-8 of their own bottles to drink there or go. Our server was super nice and helpful with our neediness. The beers were great. Of the 14, I liked 10 of them and 4 were great. The pizza is solid. If i lived by I’d be here to tick non stop. Its destination worthy.
Plenty of dedicated parking. This rating is for thr Pizzeria. Ambiance is a older Pizza Hut style place with views of the brewing equipment. Service was quite good once I got some help. I had a 8x10 upside down pizza with pepperoni by myself, which was great, but not recommended (a lot of food). Beer prices are very good and selection of house brews and guest drafts was also good.
Phenomenal brewpub. A cozy place with a bunch of wooden booths to sit in. Huge tap list, at least 10 house drafts plus 15 guest taps (mostly locals, including sun king, flat 12, three floyds, etc). The house beers are a wide mix of styles (barleywine, rye IPA, saison, kellerbier, etc) and all the ones I got to try were awesome. Very well crafted, not a bad apple in the bunch. Also their pizzas are awesome!! I got a pizza with nacho sauce, chicken, and pineapple and it was so good I had to come back for more (and more beer of course!). Stellar place, can’t wait to keep going back!
a great beer bar period! amazing pizza’s, great tap list and very friendly staff/owner. When i was there, they were getting ready for gravity head, so the taps were not as dense as they are most of the time. However, the SN bigfoot 06 i had on tap was truely amazing! I have never had that beer on tap and it was to die for!
