Wow! So the place is not very nice or big. The selection... WOW. Panil, DDC, De Dolle, etc. No Westy or uber Micros like 3 Floyds or AleSmith.. but they have just about anything else and a decent glass selection. Guy who helped didn’t know much, but look around... they probably have what you want. Got $160 worth of beer here... don’t regert it.

Absolutely unbelievable selection, with over 8 different Southampton beers available, including Cuvee Des Fleurs, Biere De Mars, Grand Cru, Saison and Old Herb. Just a huge, amazing selection, with several old beers...I picked up a few Rogue Imperial Stout 2002’s.....for $ 3.00 dollars each!!....But I mostly just STOCKED UP on Southampton and I had an extreme heavy backpack the rest of the day. The prices were amazingly cheap as well, i.e. Southampton Cuvee Des Fleurs $ 8.95, Avery Beast $ 6.00. The workers were very friendlly and courteous. This was a great beer store. You’d be a fool not to make this place a destination.

when you walk in you’re thinking, "is somebody pranking me?, this place looks like a cramped warehouse" but the good stuff is just after the cold case of crazy ass sodas. lots of esoteric stuff from around the world, and bottles from NY that you can’t find many other places (i.e. SouthHampton). the beer guy looks like a no shit new yorker, but he is very patient and helpful. some dusty bottles, but some are just overlooked. you gotta take a card, the misprint reads "All Blands".

I used to be glad I that I had found this place but now I hate going after getting stuck with expired and stank beers on my last two trips. GO TO ABD in Brooklyn!

I can’t recall ever buying a bad beer until I tried this place last weekend. I bought 12 singles and of the three I tried today, all were bad! My Burgerbrau Nikolausbier opened with no pffft at all and had no head whatsoever ( I won’t get in to the taste). My Doggie Claws was sour and my De Dolle Spec. Res. Oerbier also had gone bad. I’m hoping there will be something good in my nine remaining beers. Sheesh! I opened a De Dolle Oerbier Spec. Res. since my initial rating and it was also bad (have had and loved this beer many times before). The beers on the shelves were dusty, exposed to plenty of indirect sunlight, and it gets HOT in this wharehouse. Having doors wide open in the heat of the blazing summer with light pouring in is not proper beer storage conditions. Buyer beware.

I wouldn’t call this a huge selection but they did have a great selection. Picked up a few bottles of Bush Prestige, ’00 Baggy Wrinkle Barly Wine, a bunch of Southamptons and some other goodies. They gave me a bag of drinking glasses to boot.

Thanks to since I’ve lived in NYC for 4 years and only recently became aware of NBD through this site. Selection is fantastic and service is in typical NYC style= there is none. My concern is the conditions in which the beers are kept. I recently visited during a 90 degree day during late afternoon and found the warehouse sweltering. Many, if not most of these beers should probably not be exposed to such conditions. I can only speculate as to what the continued exposure to a NYC summer may be doing to the quality of the beer.

Nothing fancy here, basic city warehouse. Fairly clean all things considered. Didn’t get or ask for any help so score is left in the middle. Nice selection great prices, saw a Arrogant Bastard magnum bottle for 50 buck for example. Nothing refridgerated, but store was reletively cool considering the high 80 degree temperture outside. Prices are clearl marked.

One of the best selections of hard to find bottles on earth. (period) It’s a garage, the service is good, and the prices are just shockingly low.

[as most know, the prices at this place have gone through the roof, and hte selection, IMHO, is just average compared to the other great stores in the area - I no longer shop here) Looks like any other Chinatown warehouse from the outside, so much so that they need to advertise that they are open to the public with a rather large sign - once you get inside, though, you realize this is one hell of a beer store - they have everything that is available in New York, and are more than likely to have anything newly available before anyone else - make sure you look carefully, because you never know what might be hinding on some of those out of the way shelves - prices are excellent - on my most recent visit they had Allagash Odyssey for 12 bucks, which is about 3 dollars below the average - the area is a bitch to find parking in, though - go one block east to allen street where they have metered parking; there is almost always an open spot - must stop if you’re in New York.

Great selection and prices. I heard you may be able to split six packs too (I didn’t ask, but tis worth a shot). I was traveling via backpack, so it was a bit sad that I couldn’t buy more beer.
