The only place in Manhattan where a beer lover can feel truly excited to find beers they have never seen or tasted before, no matter how much they have tasted. Really, the selection of beer is huge, and the beers are all divided up by countries, which I like. You can find many beers here that you will not find anywhere else in the city, so for that reason, this is a beer lovers best friend. Prices here are not cheap, not considering the price of NYC, they are great, and are better than almost every other place I’ve been to with a comparable selection of beers. This is a family owned place that is friendly, but not too clean and "professional". They do offer beers on tap for growlers, though the selection is usually never very big. I like this place a lot, and it is great to find rare beers (for NYC) at great prices. Check it out, but just don’t take all the rare beers from me, ok?

This dark place looks like a beer warehouse. Many shelves full of beers. There is a good variety, but we couldn't track down any gem.

Visited on the off chance that they might have beers from the last 4 states I’ve not got beers from. The guy there really tried to magic them up but they didn’t have any. The place itself I really liked. Came away with a dozen US beers all seemingly fresh for not much money and if I’d had a car with me instead of a backpack I’d have taken a lot more!

All the previous negative words are more or less true, but they have one huge advantage: you can take individual bottles or cans of everything, at hardly a higher price. Just be sure to check the dates if you’re going for the hoppy stuff! And if you’re in a hurry, don’t bother. But I actually found a few extremely fresh Maine beers....

I don’t know how this place rates so high. A grungy, sketching look place all around. The selection is fairly large, but so much of the product is old that I wouldn’t dare take a chance on a hop-forward beer here. The organization is also terrible -- with almost no logic to it at all. Certain shelves just have random bottles strewn throughout, with many duplicates showing. Not a whole on offer for NE breweries either, which was very disappointing. Credit card machine wasn’t working. Service itself was weak. This was not a good stop. Do not bother with this place. Whatever it might have been before, there’s little good to speak of now.

Looks great with lots of international beer, etc until you notice that they are mostly produced 2-3 years ago, what they register at BeerMenus is a lie, and there is no order at all. If you’re lucky you could find a gem but you’d have to muck a lot of shit.

Really surprised I’ve never rated this place. They have been getting great beer for quite a long time. They also have a lot temperature issues (heat), so visitors should be careful of aging and accidental aging alike. Service can be helpful if you get the right person, but otherwise they usually just leave you alone. Was more in awe of their selection when I first came here 8 years ago out so than I am now, but it’s still a solid spot.

Fairly large warehouse room with lots of beer. A couple of coolers are located up front, but the majority of the beer here is not cooled. Some sections are well organized (by country, for instance), other sections not so much. You might see a specific beer in 3 or 4 different sections. Not much service, left to browse. One negative, the lighting was very dim, making it difficult to see/read bottles on the lower shelves. Plenty to choose from. We left with a couple of bottles and would have bought more if we had the space.

A large selection of beers from around the world. However, the beers seems to have been choosen somewhat by chance and a big part of them are not that interesting. Friendly service.

Nothing fancy here - but it has one of the better beer selections in NYC. Seek this one out.
