Decent place, six beers regularly on tap, and occasional rotations. Got a quick tour of the brewing area, 6,000 bbl capacity, pretty impressive. You can watch the action in the brewpub, which was a plus. Food was OK. Beers were above average for brewpubs, Monkeyshine and Oatmeal Stout were my favorites. Great service, very friendly.
Third stop of the night; a short walk from Ten Fifty Five, honestly a bit hard to find in the dark; we thought it was a bit closer than it turned out to be, but eventually honed in on the place. After the previous tiny taprooms this place was somewhat of a surprise with a kitchen, large dining area, large bar, pool tables and the like. Southwest menu featured. Order at the bar. Super friendly and helpful service. I ordered a flight, which was everything they poured minus the cask pour, which turned out to be a BA stout. When I asked about it he promptly brought out samples for all of us. Food was good, beer varied a lot but had its moments. Fun place and well worth the visit.
I here yesterday (oct 30) and i must say i was very impressed. The beer was great and the food was excellent. It didn’t hurt that they have a very cute bartender ;) The beer sampler consisted of 8 beers all in 4oz glasses. Really laid back atmosphere. The live band last night played a cover of Traffic-low spark of high healed boys" which I have never herd a band do before.
Decent beer and the food was good had a chicken fried steak which was excellent .... they had live music and the place was very clean ..... got a cool logo pint and had three different brews that were all above average .... definitely a place to grab a bite and a brew if your in tucson
Out at the end of an industrial park area, next to train tracks with frequently passing trains, which can be neat if you’re into that things. Excellent patio for its beautiful mountain view. An employee briefly smoke next to the patio. Really cool brewpub interior. Interesting décor. Big and comfortable. Our service wasn’t bad, but not great either. Taps were the same 6 beers you can get at any liquor store in AZ, plus 1 special that wasn’t part of the sampler. Food was very good. Fair prices.
Nestled in the back of a warehouse district, so it wasn’t very easy to find if you were unfamiliar with the area. The inside of the place was dark and eclectic, with cool artwork and lots of people for a weekday afternoon. They had about six or seven beers on tap and others in bottles. I was hoping for a sampler, but they didn’t have one. The bartender was generous with the samples and pours though. Good beer, but didn’t try the food. A cool place.
Stopped in on a Saturday night to find a big crowd. Many were there for the band. I had the sampler and there was not a loser to be found. All were above average and nice takes on classic versions. The Old Monkeyshines was not classic but was wild and tasty. It came in at 9 % ABV but everything else was more sessionable including a 3.5 offering. Our food was exceptionally good. Their burgers are always rated top in town and my wife liked hers. I had their Cuban and enjoyed it. The place is kind of by itself with no other night life around and you have to look for it. I would recommend Nimbus to anyone. Their beers were all rock solid and things were reasonably priced.
