A pretty standard Minnesota bar that has a few TVs and a stage in back. A nice spot to take in a soccer game. They do have a bocci ball pit outside. Service is not particularly beer oriented and they have 13ish taps of craft with a macro or two. No food on site but they have food trucks from time to time. Prices were decent. A nice spot for a soccer game but not really a beer destination.
15 taps of beer, OK bottle selection. Loud ass music almost every night. I really only go here to watch soccer in the mornings because the bartender, Rich, is a buddy of mine. Prices can be high on beers, but usually something is on special. Hipster tallboys are often a good deal.

More of a place to see a show or watch soccer. Decent selection and some events. However, I paid $8 for an All Day last time I was there. I’ll stick to PBR next time I’m there for a show.
So many people who live in Minneapolis rave about this place. It’s a good place to go with a large group of friends. They have bocce ball outside and an oversized Jenga game inside. It kind of feels like they just happen to have pretty good beer, and not necessarily like it’s a focus of the bar.
I visited the Nomad for the first time tonight and l enjoyed it quite a bit. First off, it had Surly Darkness on tap, quite a bit later in the season than the rest of the Twin Cities which was a delicious surprise. They also had Founders Breakfast Stout, Ovila, La Trappe, O’Dell, and a bunch of other tasty craft taps (15 total including one tap of Jameson whiskey). A very interesting dive to check out. Be sure to stop over to The Wienery down the block when you need to build a base.
I stopped here on my way to the Dome to catch a Twins game. I walked into a friendly local pub with a great selection of beers, and felt right at home. I had a few Surly’s on tap and was asked to play bocce ball with some of the locals. After talking to the owner Todd he informed me that they had several firkin events thought the year. Service was great, a total WIN!!!! This was a huge find, and if you want a diamond in the ruff, this is it. Thanks for the great time and I’ll be back. And I’ll have to catch one of the music events.
And if you ever you put that golf tourney together, please post it, I’ll be waiting.
Much like the Triple Rock down the street, not really a craft beer bar. Sure... the occasional Surly and Bells... But what other place in town doesn’t carry those. Cool patio in the summer.Awesome place to drink some Guinness and watch some World Cup Soccer, though. Not a ton of taps, and lacking in the bottle selection, it’s a decent enough place to stop on the Towh Hall-Acadia-Blue Nile-Zipps West Bank Run.
