Doesn't have the wide selection of rarities, trappists, and varied Belgians and such as Fresh Fields does, but has a wonderful selection of micros and a still-impressive import collection. Also, Norm's gives 10% discounts for mix-and-match sixers and cases. If you're buying in quantity, this is the best place in the metro area.
As an aside, just a few doors up is Cenan's Bakery, which has excellent breads. Highly recommend the Olive Sourdough.
Great local shop that will do anything to help their beer nerds. Very helpful when you talk to them, and have a newsletter that lets you know when rarities show up and they will let you reserve them over the phone. Prices are always good if not amazing and they offer discounts when buyng at least 6 singles, or enough 4/6 packs to make a case. Great craft beer store.

Locals are lucky to have Norm’s and Whole Foods Vienna within 3 blocks of each other. Go to Whole Foods for the Trappists, but stop by Norm’s for the wider selection of micros, particularly Virginia ones. And whichever one you hit first, leave room in your trunk for the second stop.
Just a great brew store. I make a trip here and to Whole Foods once a month and just load up on whatever I can afford. A great selection of US micros, imports and rarities. They have a bunch of quality six packs and bombers to choose from and a pretty good singles selection. I just wish they would let you break apart a six pack. Norm and the other staff members are extremely helpful, will offer suggestions and offer to carry stuff out to your car. If you’re going to blow your money, you might as well give it to good people who sell good beer.
This was a great recommendation from a couple of RBers! I had been looking for some specific beers and had been unable to find them, but lo and behold, Norm’s had them plus a bunch of other stuff I haven’t seen elsewhere in the area. The staff was wonderful - very knowledgable, friendly and tolerant of all my questions. They were not only able, but actually seemed to enjoy answering the barrage of questions I threw out. It was a great change of pace in an area where customer service is largely non-existent. I will definitely be returning.

Great selection of brews that I hadn’t seen in the area, even after going to many different beer stores. Liked the 10% discount for the mix-and-match six pack, a nice supprise. Staff was nice. Thank goodness this is near where I work because I will be returning.

This is the best beer store in the greater D.C. area as far as I’m concerned. Nice selection, and the staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to talk beer. Plus, they do bulk discounts on 6 or more singles or 6 or more 6 packs.
Nice place. Excellent selection of domestic micros, good choice of singles, good prices, samples usually on hand to try. Friendly and knowledgeble staff that won’t bother you if you just want to look. If you’re in the area go here and whole foods - norm’s for the domestic hard to finds; whole foods for the rare imports and seasonals.
