One of the best beer selections I’ve come across in Britain, fantastic knowledgeable and friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. This place is astonishing. Normally I prefer a more traditional pub, but this place feels like a neighbourhood bar in Chicago, my home town. In a good way!
Great friendly helpful staff nice unpretentious pub, great selection massive beer selection but can be quite pricey despite this I love the place

Best range of beers in Leeds. Local and foreign on tap, pricey rarities in the fridges. Constant change in beer selection, always very well varied types of beers on tap. Beautiful lively place, awesome music, knowledgeable staff.
Absolutely in love with this place. Unassuming, cafe-like exterior that extends back towards the bar. Can be pleasantly bustling from early-evening-night, or quiet and intimate in the early afternoon (my favourite time). Staff are without exception knowledgeable and pleasant, very helpful and inclusive. Very little pretence about this place, it’s welcoming and feels warm. Haven’t tried the food and so haven’t rated, but the value does look good. Outstanding selection of beers, with lots of other drinks available too. Prices can be a touch high for my meagre student budget at times, but normally it’s not a huge problem - the selection more than makes up for it. Overall, it’s a great bar that’s very hard to fault.
wicked place. dark and dingy vibe which i like, and also had some genuinely rare beers - pannepot reserve- which i can’t get in london. loads of keg interest- magic rock, illkley, siren etc and some good stuff on cask. little bit off the beaten track but thats just quibbling.
I love going to North! Looking into the fridges is like being a kid in a sweet shop again- there’s just too many bottles to just pick 1 beer you want!! The staff always seem to find a drink that im in the mood for, and I am quite fussy at times so thats always a bonus. They got me trying their "beer cocktails" last time, which as crazy as they sound are actually pretty good. Apparantly they invented all the recipies themselves too. Ive had ther food in the past, which is simple, but it does the job. The prices range across the board, but you pay for what you get really (cheaper drinks being local ales around the £3 mark, and more expensive stuff being exports from all over the world). Highly recommended!
Good sized bar in the centre of Leeds, friendly knowledgeable staff who appear to care about the products they sell. Selection was impressive especially when compared with other places in the area. A must visit if you find yourself in Leeds or the surrounding area.
cracking bar. probably the best selection in Leeds. if you want it they’ve got it and if not they offer to blend something!
could happily have spent several hours and a big chunk of cash here. The only real downsides are the lack of space and comfy seats and the somewhat high prices. Having said that i’ll be straight back at the next opportunity.

Not quite sure what happened here but I am convinced that I had reviewed this place in the past, so a little confused. I have been here on two occasions with Loz, in February 2014 and again the same month this year, also visited about 3-4 years ago with dad and Barry. This is a great little bar, it was smaller than I expected, it’s narrow but longish. The bar is ahead on the LH side as you enter with seating all down the RH side, the layout reminds me a little of a diner. It has a great selection of beers on keg, cask , and bottle and you can see why this has been the top entry for Leeds now for a few years. I have been here both during the day and late at night and if coming at night be prepared to stand as it’s popularity means it gets very busy. The staff are top notch, knowledge, friendly and chatty added to that they play some great tunes. Jackson C Frank on my last visit as well as some other corking tunes. I seem to recall that we were drinking Kernel and Anarchy beers on our last visit. I guess this is a little further up town from Friends of Ham, Bundobust Tapped etc, but with Belgravia Music Hall just a very short walk away you have even more reason to go here, both are great venues, if this is busy then go to Belgravia Music Hall as it is huge in comparison and you should be fine there, come back here afterwards. Really like this venue, decor wise I haven’t ever taken much notice and it’s often quite a dimly lit place, but it always appears tidy. A great bar you should definitely seek out.
