A "high-end" brewpub, combining great beer, an upscale atmosphere and an impressive menu.
NXNW is the most beautiful non-chain brewpub I’ve ever been in from an architectural and decor standpoint - almost makes you feel like you are in a Gordon Biersch, which is nice - but also a bit deceiving if you are like me and not really into chains.
They keep 5 beers on tap plus a number of special things - from Lambics to bourbon barrel aged items. Their lambics, in my opinion, are the best beers made in Texas. Brewer Ty has done an amazing job in that respect.
Great, friendly, attentive service. Menu is more upscale, so a little pricey for brewpub fare, but still a relatively good value.
A very unique brewpub and a bit out of the way for visitors, but well worth the trip.

Eclectic food and decor...good modern bistro type feel...beer leaves a lot to be desired though...but the house beers are solid and the seasonals are pretty damn good. Parking is a bitch.
NXNW has some amazing food. I’ll start with that. If nothing else, go there for the food and enjoy some nice beers while you’re at it. That said, go for the special beers, because the standard lineup isn’t anything to go crazy for. They’re good standard beers, but nothing too interesting. The special beers are often great, though - watch out for the dark kriek, which is one of the best beers in Texas. Blackjack is often available and very nice, as well. NXNW has a cool lodge/industrial ambiance, which is very nice. I’ve also never had any service problems. If you’re hosting a party, get one of their kegs - only $45 for 5.5gal and $95 for a half-barrel. For the beer you’re getting, it’s hard to beat those prices. I purchased a keg with a picnic tap that unfortunately wouldn’t seal, but when I told them of the problem they gave me a coupon for 20% off my next keg. The rest of the service has been great, as well.
A true brewpub. You can only get the house beers here. Overall the standard beers are average, but the seasonals can be exceptional. The Lambics and Kriek are world class. I come here usually for cask night. They have a very nice cask here. They usually aggressively hop it which I enjoy.
They food here is the best I have ever had at a brewpub. Even the appetizers are quite refined -- fried artichokes, mmm.
They have a great salmon plank and a memorable pork tenderloin.
This is a brewpub that you can take a first date to and not be embarassed.
A nice brewpub with very good food located in the Arboretum area of Austin. The bar has about eight taps, only serving NxNW beer. Many of the year round beers are average at best, but the brewery’s sour beers and some of the special beers can be very good. The food is also very good, the best of all the Austin brewpubs. The pub occasionally bottles beers and sells them for off-premises consumption. They will also fill any growlers, regardless of which brewery they are from.
Excellent restaurant, definitely no doubt. Great food. Good staff. Their in-house beer doesn’t seem to be that good though, I had the "sampler" and the beers they gave were not great, but not bad. Go there to eat, but not drink.
tHIS PLACE HAS SOME DAMN GOOD FOOD. tHERE IS A CHEF IN THE KITCHEN WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?
Damn caplock key, anywho they brew their own beer here. Majority is a tad above average. Their lambics are killer!. It is a little pricey for your average person, they have freaking valet service as well!.
Their cask are great. And ytou can get your corny kegs filles here as well
Went on a Saturday night, parking... ha ha ha, great joke! Drove twice around until we parked across the street and just walked there. 30 minute wait for a table, and the joint was jumping! Waitress was on point all night, had great recommendations for me and the little lady. Ambiance- alot of chatter from guests (to be expected), great dining rooms with wood oven and fireplace, very clean. Food- very good- good portions, taste great, made me want to drink more. Beer- standard ups and downs as with any brewery. Summary- this isn’t in my top 3 places to visit in Austin if you had one night, but it is my top 5 right at the 5 hole. Great food, good beers, average waitstaff who initially greeted us, horrible parking.
Easy to find, stone and glass pub in northwest Austin with good food, quality beer and friendly staff, no guest taps but have 7-8 of their own and trying to fold in a lambic tap and usually a good quality higher ABV, also some bottling
