This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The food is legit good and the beer menu is spectacular. Alvinne is pretty much my favorite brewer and these guys love Alvinne.
A must stop in Brussels.
Went in for a beer, there was no room at the bar, so we sat at the only free table to peruse the beer menu (which looked good). Less that 30 seconds later we were told to move by a very rude waiter who was clearly more interested in those who were dining. No explantaion or apology, so we went somewhere else

We visited here Saturday 10th March 2018, the we being me, Barry, Dad and Scott It is centrally located being close to the Mannekin Pis but more importantly it is close to both Poschenkelder and a great new place called Gist both just a couple of minutes brisk walk away.
It was really busy when we arrived, which was actually quite early evening, there were no free tables so we opted to sit at the bar/counter at the rear of the restaurant. It's a smallest place with seating either side of a small rectangular room for about 30 people max'.
The beer choice was excellent, with a good range of styles from the likes of Alvinne, Struisse, De Dochtor de Korenaar. The food choice was also very good, though more typically Belgian and traditional. To start me and Dad had Cauliflower soup, Scott had a huge fried cheese dish that could easily have fed two, Barry had Black Pudding with a Geuze sauce all were greatFor our mains Scott and Barry had Ox Cheek Stew (Flemish style) with Chips, €19 Dad had a Oxtail Shepherds Pie with Pumpkin and Wynendale cheese €21, I had Stoemp of the day with Sausages €18 all were great, really great and up there with our superb Italian at La Tana on Thursday evening in terms of quality.
I have to say my review below now looks a little harsh, this is a great place, the queue of folk waiting to get in as we were leaving showed just how popular it is, and deservedly so. Score 86
We (Fin & Loz) visited here Saturday 28th April 2012. It was busy and we were not eating, so sat at two of the three stools at the bar. Great little beer list with some really interesting selections, I had Alvinne Freaky, Loz had an old favourite Taras Boulba. Food looked pretty good. We wanted to sit outside but the lady serving said we couldn’t as it might rain, we said but it isn’t raining, and to be fair it didn’t look likely to, but the lady serving suggested that it would probably rain if we sat outside and she didn’t want to come out to serve us in the rain, a rather fuzzy logic but amusing, however neither of us were that impressed with the person serving. Its a good place and the beers are very well chosen , however I am rather surprised that it rates as highly as it does. Score 64
