Visited this place several times, and for sure a place I like very much to come by. Very friendly staff, always very helpfull. I think mainly the bottle selection is the most interesting, lots of both swedish and foreign beers. They do food a mix of traditionel pubfood and swedish dishes :-)
Sunday they have a large brunch menu.
Newly renovated part of nya Tröls has made the place more crowded and it’s hard to stand in line for your order. The larger room which retains the old style - dark wood, cart wheels etc. is nice! Beer lists are seldom updated so one has to peer at the fridges instead. Some of the staff know their beer and can recommend, others don’t seem that interested. Selection is good but a bit pricey.
I like it a lot, but the problem is that the owners doesn’t employ enough waiters. But the waitress working there are great and knows the beers. The place is big but can be overcrowded sometimes. The low foodrating is perhaps me being a vegetarian.
Visited in July 2014 / Situated on a street corner with a outside seating area. Good selection of beers on tap and a great beer fridge with some pretty interesting unexpected bottles, service was friendly and efficient. Some similarities to beer ditch with the American theme and look.
A big place with one pub-area and one restaurant-area. 15 taps, 5 of them rotating guest taps. Quite interesting bottle selection and decent prices for being Sweden. Quite slow in the bar-area on an early Sunday, but busier in the restaurant. Good place but not a must.
