The beer selection was great. Both samplers allow enthusiasts the opportunity to pick what they like best. The atmosphere was great and relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed the patio. The staff was very knowledgeable of the products and I enjoyed the conversations with them. I was able to have an educational experience as well as enjoy quality beer.
Odell’s facility is a gorgeous, large, spacious building with a beautiful outdoor area to boot. This place can get busy in a hurry but it was easily tolerable on a Wednesday afternoon. They take beer orders at one station and pour them and set them out for pick up at a different station. This takes away a little from the bar atmosphere, but this is the more efficient way to get people beer and that’s very important considering the sheer volume they do here. The beer list is pretty expansive with a couple brewery-only beers. Prices are $5 a pint for the regular type stuff and up to $8 for high alcohol/limited release pints. Weird they’re serving an imperial stout in a pint, but it’s still a fair price for that. Nearly everything Odell makes is insanely delicious so, they get big bonus points for that. I was thrilled just to have St. Lupulin and Myrcenary straight from the source. A food truck parks outside for some convenient grub. Odell is making some of the best American styled beers in the state and they have one of the best facilities to visit as well.
Odell was one of the better breweries we visited over the 4 days of the GABF. The place is beautiful and the outside patio was gorgeous...of course it helped that it was perfect 85-90 degree weather each day. The place had 20 beers available the day we visited...which is starting to get into the category of "ginormous"...lol! I think the previous reviewer just hit it on the wrong day (or week) as no less than 5 beers were featured from their "pilot line" and we were told they were one off’s not available elsewhere. These included a blackberry gose, a lemon blonde, a couple of pale ales as well as a double IPA. All in all I would recommend Odell very highly...especially when the weather allows for outdoor imbibing.
O’Dell Brewing stands out more IMO than any other brewery in Ft. Collins, CO. Not only do they have an enormously diverse beer selection, they have the best/biggest taproom in town, which is a huge reason why I keep coming back!
The best brewery to visit in Fort Collins. The tap room is massive and has a very clean look. Expect about 18-20 beers on tap to sample. All very good. At worst, you’ll have a solid beer. There’s always beer to try from the pilot system, which is a neat feature. The brewery offers a few snack foods, but a food truck does sit outside. Well worth your time to stop by if you’re in town. Wasn’t terribly crowded during the day, which made for an even better experience out on the patio.
Very nice looking place, from the time you’re walking up to the door to the time you sit down, it all just feels hippie-modern and welcoming. Very friendly and informative staff, who are willing to let you sample any brew. And their selection is phenomenal. Not a lot of places put their $25 bottles on tap. But this place does, as well as actively experiments all the dang time with pilot batches, firkins, etc. But maybe it’s done too much. Unless you live close, you will always be jealous that the week after you visited, there’s some amazing one-off that would have been way better than the one you got. But still a great place.
