Ol’ Republic has a great atmosphere, lots of people inside and out on the days I’ve been there. They have live music on some days as well. Not much food, but they do have good pastrami sliders. There’s a decent pizza place down the street and Ol’ Republic will let you bring in outside food. Beer is good, not outstanding though. Young and growing brewery, looks like a good future ahead for Ol’ Republic!

Yeah, this place is not going to win any architectural style awards, but it gets the job done. They do have flights, but you can just order whatever you want as a $2 sample, which works just as well. I had four and all were above average quality wise. Solid and friendly service, a nice little flip-book with beer descriptions. Fun place.

This place is pretty cool. It’s set a ways away from the road. There’s a nice front patio that is dog-friendly. The interior is spacious and comfortable. They had about 10-12 beers available, with about 8-10 beers available in bottles and cans. They do fill outside growlers, so that is cool. They were a bit understaffed when I was there. Outside food is ok, and they do not have food of their own. Anyway, I went here for the beer, and the beer was delicious as always. A really really high quality brewery. I am quite bummed it’s a 70 minute drive from me.

Industrial style taproom in this fairly new brewery in Nevada City. You come here for the beer, not the architecture. Friendly staff, decent beer. Well worth a visit.

Nice place. Modern wood and metal decor appropriate for a tap room. Web site may not be up to date. Seems to usually have 6 beers on tap. Service was good. Beers were solid. No food, but Moe’s pizza just down the slope is pretty good. You can take a box up slope to the tap room.

Tucked away behind the SPD. Big bar area to order beer with some tables, couches and a small outdoor area for enjoying beer. Great service, the staff was happy to talk and explain the beers available. No food but you can bring food in. Solid little offering of mostly European style beers. All the beers were very good for a new, young brewery. Good value for samplers and pints, but growler fills seem high. Definitely worth a stop if in the area.
