ManVsBeer  (2013) Hebden Bridge, England | August 27, 2015
Opposite the Grey Friar on the corner of the main road that passes just to the north of the commercial centre, this large traditional pub with a main drinking area and some smaller cosier areas emanating from it has plenty of real ale choices and rotates most of these giving the Wetherspoon pub across the road a good run for its money. The service area is along the side wall after you enter through the central doorway, with seating opposite and behind the striking tiled floor in front of the bar. You can also go out back to sit outside if the weather allows, although it’s a very urban area and you probably won’t be able to escape the noise of the main road to the side of the building. It’s a friendly enough place and big enough to find your own space to drink in most of the time. Live sport is shown here.

Walked in and pub in the throes of a Welsh beer festival. Quiet pub with lots of room. Reasonable beer range and quality seems Ok.

This pub goes through peaks and through with regards to beer range, so you may catch it good, you may not. It serves around ten real ales but it’s pot luck if they are rare or even drinkable. You pays your money... but it’s close to the New Brit so you may as well have a look.
