Visited on Wednesday 03/02/16 after having visited the much busier Lagunitas, directly opposite, just before.
Smartly laid out smallish taproom with 11 beers on offer from their own fold. Varied range of styles and beers on the whole weren’t bad, a few duds by my average rating was 3.19 which is respectable enough with a few 3.5’s in the mix. Service was prompt and friendly and the owner/brewer stopped by for a chat. Wifi on offer for live rate action allied to tasting flights for the beers so pretty ticker friendly. Overall not a go to but definately stop by if you’ve visited Lagunitas.
Literally across the street from Lagunitas. This also was the temporary home of HenHouse brewing until they opened up their own tasting room and brewery just a week or so ago. Kind of have to go with street parking here, but with how crazy Lagunitas has become, you may need to go down the block a bit.
Small to medium sized tasting room here, but quite nicely done. Nice wood topped bar with some TV viewing capabilities. Some high top tables here, too. They had a dozen taps. I found a couple were pretty decent, some were meh, and some where just a full nope.
The people were quite nice and seemed like a lot of locals that come to hang out here. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend coming here alone (unless you’re a degenerate ticker like me), but since it’s so close to Lagunitas, probably worth it to pop in.
A very decent taproom, located directly across the street from Lagunitas. The taproom isn’t large, but they do have comfortable seating so a visit during non-peak hours should be nice. Everything is clean and well lit. The service was friendly. They offer a good range of beers, although the quality level is fairly middling. Fair pricing. This place isn’t a must-visit on its own, but if you’re going to Lagunitas then you might as well pop in here as well.
Small taproom located directly across the street from Lagunitas. The place is well-lit, clean and comfortable. The 12 beers on tap were pretty decent, though I was a bit perplexed so see so many served on nitro. The owner/brewer and bartender were both pretty accommodating and friendly. Overall, Petaluma Hills is worth checking out, especially considering its close proximity to Lagunitas.
Nice space in an industrial park-style building literally across the (very busy) street from Lagunitas. So if you have time on a visit there, you should pop in here. The beer’s decent but nothing special. The service is friendly; the owner came out to greet us. Flights are served in mini goblets. Comfortable seating, nice atmosphere, clean and well lit. No food, from what I could tell. I wouldn’t mind visiting again if I had a chance.
Friendly service, the brewer came to our table and cracked a few jokes. For some reason they seem to put a lot of beers on nitro. Beers were mediocre but decent (around 3.0 with a few over and a few below). Worth a stop by as it is literally across the road from Lagunitas. Even more so when 101 North gets their taproom up and running.
A cozy and comfortable tap room. Couches and side tables are a nice touch. Service was good and passionate. Tasting flight was available, but beer was very mediocre at best. Not a stop unto itself but not a bad addition to Lagunitas.
Friendly, comfortable place with nice people and a chill vibe. 11 or so beers on tap. We got a taster of each. Beers are decent, only the IPA was really great, then again, only one was really bad. Worth the stop.
Across from Lagunitas, they actually had a funny wifi password making fun of them being bought by Heineken. They had a nice range of beers on tap to include nitro and seasonals. Almost standing room only on a Friday night, but still got our ticks on of relatively average beers.
