quirky little house packed with goodies. parking has improved quite a bit since my last visit. service was the best iíve ever encountered. prices are great. wish theyíd ditch the tobacco, but otherwise, this place is fantastic.
Originally reviewed: 1/25/12. I have wanted to visit this place for as long as I have been on this site, and finally got a chance to swing by today. Like others have noted, the signage for the place isnít the most obvious, so I drove right by and had to turn around. The store is set in an old house. When I pulled up in the back of the place, there was a ring of chairs in the grass filled with guys smoking cigars. Ahh. What a wonderful aroma to my nose. Nice tobacco smell when you first enter the store, as there is a huge walk-in humidor to the right as you walk in. The beer is sort of scattered about with stacks of cases and sixers smattered around. Though the majority of the beer is to the left near the back. In the very back, thereís a room dedicated to wine, which is nice as well. As for the selection, this place has by far the greatest selection of Belgian brews in the area. I was amazed at the variety of Belgian beers they carried. Many of which I hadnít seen anywhere else around. Thereís one small cooler section that carries a good amount of 12ís and 22ís, as well as some kegs. I didnít see any growlers at all. The corner of the "beer section" is dedicated to domestic craft offerings, of which they had a decent selection. Grabbed a bottle of Old Rasputin XIV and a cigar and I was on my way. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
This place has moved several times and every time it moves it gets worse. Now its in some old crappy house with crappy parking. This place is totally irrelevant.

not a bad little store for the beers. they have alot of belgians, some american beers, and some rare stuff. like grat said thereís a bunch of guys sitting around smoking pipes and cigars, but if you get past that (i did) there is alot of good beer hidden in the back. not a bad selection, de dolle, achel, chimay, avery, etc. worth checking out if you are in the area.
I visited this location a recent trip to Greensboro. Upon looking outside it did not appear that this location would be that good. However upon entering and going to the back, I noticed that they carried quite a nice selection of brews and quite a few I had been looking for. The cigar smell was actually pleasant when I went inside (I donít smoke). This might have been because there were only two gentlemen in the store at the time in the lounge area. The employees were very nice and chatted with me for awhile and made some suggestions on which other locations I should stop at for some hard to find brews. They also had a VERY nice glassware selection on the top of the shelves. This place is definitely worth dropping in to check it out.
Incredible place! In a grey house just off Spring Garden near the hippie grocery store. The humidor is AMAZING! and so are the brews. I really like the fact that you can pick up a can/bottle of anything from any six/four pack that interests you. No problem. Super knowledgeable staff. A small but diverse selection of brews. They got the good stuff.
Beer and Cigars galore. Lots of cool Belgian beers I didnít see in other shops. If you donít like Cigar smoke then cross your fingers the place is empty as people can smoke in most parts of the store it seems. They stayed open late for us to browse which was very cool. Solid prices it seemed.

Doesnít look like much on the outside, but this is a neat little place! Service is absolutely top notch! When I informed them that I only came through Greensboro occasionally, they said if possible to call a few days before my next trip and tell them what I was looking for; if he didnít have it he would do his best to get it. The overall selection used to be a little limited, I think primarily due to space, but is constantly improving. Ask if you donít see what youíre looking for. I found out that not everything is on display and they may have what you want in boxes in the back.

I recently discovered Pipe and Pint, after a friend suggested I check it out. This cigar/beer store is a hidden gem. What appears to be just a cigar store / lounge contains a nice selection of craft and Belgian beers towards the back. There is a focus to what they carry, which is nice to see that they are trying to carve out their own niche in the Greensboro beer scene. Their primary focus seems to be on Belgian and Belgian style (craft) beer, which is an excellent idea. You can find some things in this store unavailable anywhere else in the Greensboro and best of all the prices are very reasonable. Worth checking out if youíre in the area, good value good selection
