Visited in August 2018 and enjoyed my visit. Sat outside under the umbrellas and managed to use their wifi. Service was efficient all the time. Had 4 beers and a nice lunch. I found "their" (contract brewed by semi-giant Lobkowicz??) not as good as their guests. Well worth a visit as there are many other good venues within walking distance!

Situated by the circular Škroupovo Namesti nearby Žižkov TV-tower. Wow, what an original and charming brown czech pub-café! Impressive vintage brown interior, pop on the radio, easter eggs and feathers in the tree outside, good service. Opens 8 early in the morning. I should try some food here next time, because the scents were tempting. Sadek-beers were good. Matuška Apollo was there too. A handfull of bottles. I recommend this place.

Cozy local. All sorts of bric-a-brac hanging from the ceiling. Mainly traditional style beers (from memory). Surprisingly good choice of vegetarian options on food menu - I had Gnocchi in a mushroom & onion sauce which certainly helped soak up the afternoon / evening's beer.

Very nice local bar near the TV-tower. The ceiling is hung with various old cameras, instruments and other artifacts. Approximately ten beers on draught. Friendly and English-speaking service. Mostly frequented by local punters.

Gnoff has said it all - this is a "legendary" place in the quarter due to its "neverending" working hours. Dug the ambiance a little, basically decorated by random old stuff where we were at. Some cute jokes thrown around (like the signs in the mens' room above the pissers). Efficient service, slightly distant but polite and helpful, actually overly attentive as we got asked 4 times at least if we were ready to order food despite saying each time we weren't here for food. Their "own" beers are just average and so's half the selection, but the other half held some rare stuff (a new Rebel) and the lovely Matuška California. Not an essential visit, but with the working hours - face it, there's a good chance you'll end up here if you're nearby and you might run into something nice.

About 10 tap beers per day, plus a few bottles and a section with belgian beers. English speaking service. The food was good as well. And possibility to drink the beer made for this place: Sádek

Visited, I think the first time, on August 3, 2017, sort of late.
Very generous opening hours. If you feel like a breakfast beer, if you feel like that last beer way too late, if you feel hungry and restaurants have closed, yep, head out to Žižkov and go to U Sadu!
We sat downstairs. Decent service, though they did feel like they had to point out the were expecting tips...
Plenty of taps and bottles to choose from.
